Oh SD I thin you may have missed out. We had to collect them last week. I will email Camilla for you and ask her to post on here,

NeverSayNevertoaDyson · 27/02/2008 08:10

I have been amazed at how much more the Dyson is getting out of the carpets, the amount of cat hair my old hoover didn't pick up is beyond belief.

Have found it brill on hard floors, and I zipped round and did all the matresses yesterday, and the little round brush is ideal for all the nooks and crannies on the TV and fireplace, has cut down on the amount of dust too.

CamillaDyson · 27/02/2008 09:36

Hi Scooby

I'm happy to post. Message me your address and i'll get it sent. I've got you down for an upright, but let me know if you'd prefer a cylinder.

Thanks,
Camilla

FAQ · 27/02/2008 10:30

quite scary isn't it really !

Peachy · 27/02/2008 10:36

Ours is absolutely brilliant (and amde a massive difference to carpet for the house inspection we had on Monday LOL), but I find it really heavy with being heavily pg as well... struggle to haul it around atm, and using it on the stairs was a dangerous sport in itself (we have narrow, twisty olde cottage stairs).

And the velcro-ey fabric is coming off the little head attachment already, that happened first usage.

Dh adores it though and we'd certainly have another, just because its so damned efffective.

Twinkie1 · 27/02/2008 10:41

Ours is brill - have the big upright one - it sucks like a crack whore - DH reckons anyway - what the hell he knows about crack whores coming from middle England I do not know though!

Hoovered with Henry first and then with the dyson just to check if poor old Henry really was shite - and I am afraid to say he was - had to empty Dyson 3 times!

Will keep Henry for decorating suck ups and for clenaing out the hearths and use Dyson for the carepts and the hard floors - it is fab!

ScoobyDYSONDoo · 27/02/2008 11:22

Ok have sent the email hope it arrives ok let me know

chenin · 27/02/2008 13:21

Camilla.... hope its OK to still email my comments on my Dyson? I cannot get to a PC until the evening on the 10th, as I work all day with no lunch break to speak of...

I plan to send you an email a day or so before the 10th with all my positives and negatives (what negatives???!!)

CamillaDyson · 27/02/2008 13:37

Hi Helliebean

Completely fine to email them over. And if you don't have any negatives...I really don't want to force you to say any!

Camilla

magnolia74 · 27/02/2008 13:43

Camilla, I haven't recieved the details on things to think about before the discussion via email

CamillaDyson · 27/02/2008 13:50

For everyone:

  1. How did you find the out-of-the box experience and assembling the machine?
  1. Did you use the instruction manual?
  1. How did you find the following:
a. Bin emptying b. Attachments: did you use them? c. Filters: locate them OK? d. Manoeuvrability: get around furniture? e. Cleaning stairs?
  1. How does it compare to your current machine?
  1. Where did you store your machine? If possible: can you send a picture of your Dyson in its new home?
  1. Best thing?
  1. Anything that you would change?
  1. One addition you would make if you were a Dyson engineer?
RTKangaDYSONMummy · 27/02/2008 13:53

Are we allowed to post which one we have got yet?

it would be useful to understand and compare if we knew which code each other have got

IYSWIM

DualCycloneCod · 27/02/2008 15:09

camilla its me cod.
i like the tiny one i have
haev a few niggles though so will save up for SOME of use who stick to what we undertake to do.

ahem

CamillaDyson · 27/02/2008 15:24

You can post whatever you like. Purpose of the chat on the 10th is to let our engineers know what you think they should keep on the machines and what could do with some tweaking.

I was just slightly worried about people going all out when they first get it and by the time the 10th comes they don't have much left to discuss.

Cod: I will email you.

Unfortunately not LL, sorry! But Ben and Tom (!) won't either...

Who knows, they might've already thought of it?

DualCycloneCod · 27/02/2008 16:09

i still rekcon my advert idea for the baby dyson was a good one. the one where the woman goes aroudn the shoe suckign up her husbands life support sytems( paper, tv remote etc) to the ramones "baby i love you".
i think in general Dyson ads need to be funnier. for the " hey i am groovy modern, funny AND i haev a clean floor"

am also launching campaign ( in my head)for the small ball one i have.

i am wasted in education, wasted.
