I can no longer add iPad screenshots as photos on MN

I used to be able to, but now I get an error message from MN which says it’s too big. I have no idea how to reduce the file size. 🤷‍♀️. Is this a fault as it didn’t used to be like this but has been this way for a few weeks now.

Hi there @OntarioBagnet. Nothing should have changed at our end in terms of what you can upload, so it might be that your settings in terms of the way photos are saved have somehow changed? The maximum size for our uploader is 6mb, which is pretty big so should be ok. Maybe check the size of your photos in case something's going wrong there, and you should be able to resize them before uploading. If you're still having trouble, could you send us a screenshot of the error message you're getting and we'll see if that gives us any clues.

Hi Hebe, thanks for this. I’d post a screenshot but I can’t. 😁. It says I need to reduce the file size to less than 6mb. I don’t understand why my iPad screenshots are more than this as I never used to have an issue. I’ve no idea how to make the file sizes smaller.

OP try uploading the photos to a private album on fb, they reduce the file size for you. :)

I have this problem too. It's a total pain TBH. I found an online image compressor and have to run them through that whenever I want to post a picture.

@SoupDragon do you think it’s due to an iPad software update? I can’t understand why the pictures are so big when they didn’t used to be.

I genuinely don't know. It's been a problem for me for a while though so it's not a recent change.
