Hey OP and sorry you are having this issue.

Thanks for the screenshots Can you tell us what device you are using and the browser

Is it just on threads it happens or on other parts of the site too? And once it pops up, can you scroll past it or do you have to leave the site and then log back in?

Let us know and we'll see if we can find out what's causing this.

Thanks, @Blondeshavemorefun - and can you let us know if it is just on threads it happens or on other parts of the site too? And once it pops up, can you scroll past it or do you have to leave the site and then log back in?

If you can let us know, we'll ask our Tech team to take a look.

Hi there - we're investigating this now - could you please give us the URL of the page where you're seeing this message? Sorry for the hassle.

DawnMumsnet · 09/09/2022 11:21

Thanks for the screenshots and the URL, @Arranstorm - we're looking into this now and will be back with an update just as soon as we can.

Thanks for your patience.

DawnMumsnet · 09/09/2022 13:44

Thanks very much for posting the screenshots, @Blondeshavemorefun - we think we're getting closer to resolving this and will be back as soon as we can to update you.

With regards the Cookie consent prompts, please follow the instructions below - it should stop this happening but do let us know if not. (There are several other threads in Site Stuff about this and we're trying to resolve it).

iPhone &iPad - Clear all cookies (Chrome)

On your iPhone or iPad, open the Chrome app
At the bottom right, tap More ⋮ > Settings
Tap Privacy > Clear Browsing Data.
Tick Cookies, Site Data. Untick the other items.
Tap Clear Browsing Data > Clear Browsing Data.
Tap Done.

Here are the instructions for Safari:

iPhone & iPad
Navigate to your settings
Click on ‘Safari’
Scroll to the bottom and choose ‘Advanced’
Click on ‘Website Data’
Type ‘Mumsnet' into the search box
Swipe left on ‘Mumsnet’ and choose ‘Delete’

@DawnMumsnet if I do the cookie thing will I lose all my auto fill ins etx

I am not techno minded !!

Have just checked this for you.

If you delete all cookies - yes
If you just delete the Mumsnet site data - no

But depending on what device/browser you're using, you might only be able to delete all.

Do you know if you've blocked cookies in your browser settings? Or changed any of the privacy settings in the browser away from the default settings?

Sorry for all the questions - we're trying to get to the bottom of this for you.

HebeMumsnet · 12/09/2022 12:29

Hi @Blondeshavemorefun . Good news. Fingers crossed that's done it. If you have it happening again though, do yell here.

Re the consent issues, and freezing, that others are describing, we are still looking at those. If you've follwed the instructions on the consent thread and updated your browser and it's still happening, for the moment, we don't have a solution but we are working on it as we speak so please do look out for updates. Most users are finding that updating the browser and reselecting the consent preferences as per our instructions does work, but there are a few people still having the issue unfortunately.

Are you able to try clearing your cache? Flowers

LilyMumsnet · 16/09/2022 18:15

Ignore the above - sorry! Can you try this -

Tap Done
Macbook - Safari
Open Safari
Go to the Safari dropdown at the top of the screen
Select Preferences
Head to the Privacy section
Select the Manage Website Data... button
Type Mumsnet into the search box
Click Mumsnet
Select the Remove button
Select Done
iPhone & iPad - Safari
Navigate to your settings
Click on Safari
Scroll to the bottom and choose Advanced
Click on Website Data
Type Mumsnet into the search box
Swipe left on ‘Mumsnet’ and choose ‘Delete’

I have just found this and glad to find it isn’t just me.

page covering most of Apple iPad saying denied access denied.

I am not very savvy when it comes to technology being nearly pension age and have been asking others, going off the site and on again. I also lose posts and are logged off quite a lot so beginning to get a bit paranoid.

Any help gratefully received.
