Active not working

@mnhq

Every time I try to go to active (whether through saved links or through Google), I get the attached page. I've tried clearing cookies as per Justine's advice on another thread, but no change.

Can you advise? I'm using Samsung Internet on an android phone.

Hi, could someone share the URL or a screenshot of the URL you land on when you go to active and it doesn't work?

We think your browsers have stored the redirect URL so it's taking you to a page that doesn't exist. If I can see the URL I can confirm that.

Thanks!

www.mumsnet.com/talk/active

Accessed by clicking the 'Active' link at the top of the page, next to 'I'm On', etc.

KatyMumsnet · 16/03/2022 09:50

Hi,

That has confirmed the issue thank you @piratehooker

When we switched over to the new website the active link changed and your browsers have stored it as the current URL so that when you go to active now it takes you to a URL that doesn't exist at the moment.

To fix this you'll have to delete all the data from your browser, here are instructions on how to do that: www.samsung.com/au/support/mobile-devices/how-to-remove-cache-and-data-of-your-browser/

Doing this will clear all the data from other websites you use on that browser too, so it might not be the best option for you.

As it's a temporary issue that will be solved when we do update the website in the next week or so - you might want to switch to another browser for now.

Really sorry about this - we know it's not ideal and we a really grateful for your patience!

DiamondSnow · 16/03/2022 10:11

Same issue here. Please let us know once it is fixed as I really don't want to delete data from all websites!

KatyMumsnet · 16/03/2022 10:24

@DiamondSnow it will be fixed when we move to the new website. We'll be able to let you know when that will be soon.

For now, if you want to access active I'd suggest switching to another browser.

dementedpixie · 16/03/2022 15:46

I've managed to get access by using Chrome rather than Samsung Internet

KatyMumsnet · 16/03/2022 17:17

Hi,

We've just put a fix in place that will hopefully get you back on to active. Can you try going to the active URL and let me know if it's working/still has issues?

Thanks!

BertieBotts · 16/03/2022 17:34

I'll just say I had this the other day and then it fixed itself randomly.i didn't clear cookies or do anything.
