We are intending to fix these issues but it is complicated so it's not a quick fix.

What happened to this? I know it was a Beta test, but it seems to have been abandoned.

Would it be possible to have threads from different years show up in different colours to highlight that they're not current? You've got a zombie thread from 2014 in Trending Now even as I type. Somebody bumped it overnight, possibly because it came up on a search, and dozens of people have answered without noticing it was a zombie. This happens often. I can't actually see why it's possible to revive a zombie, but that's a whole other issue, I suppose.
