Ads hiding posts

I just got a notification email saying I had been mentioned in a post but I couldn't see it at first. It appears to only show depending on whether or not you've clicked show older posts. Examples attached!

I am glad it's not just me *@QuestionEverythingBaby*, as I've said it could be happening to multiple users but unless you knew a particular post was there when scrolling down you'd easily miss stuff!

Exactly. Someone mentioned the post and I scrolled back but couldn't find it. thought I was going mad!!!! It was only when I checked on the desktop version that I could see it.

I just came to report this and see this thread not sure if I got same problem but I seem to have a big black square blocking posts I cannot read them only happened this evening I hope my screenshots help you I on iPad safari

This is still happening.

I have this on my laptop, I have to refresh the page to get rid, it's an advert for Jersey. Windows 10 and Chrome.

The Sky Connect advert keeps covering up half my page.

This is still happening @mnhq. As you can see on the app the OP’s post has disappeared. It’s only when you go on the website you can see it.

My post has completely disappeared underneath an ad.
(See the screenshots attached - one on the app and then on the website).

If anyone is wondering why no one replies to you, this is probably the reason - they can't see your post because it's disappeared underneath a bloody advert. Also when posters moan at someone for not RTFT, maybe they have and just not seen a particular post as it's covered up!!!

I am now getting huge adverts saying “please rotate your device” and you can’t see the posts as it moves along as you scroll!

Wow hiding a post so big it actually took 3 screenshots. This has been going on since August now. Does anyone at @mnhq actually give a monkeys or is it because I am not a premium member?

I'm guessing this is exactly why it hasn't been fixed.

Also happening to me. Can have time to read first few lines of thread then all of a sudden a black iPad screen saying rotate. When I rotate it’s like a huge fake Instagram post with no x box to get rid of it and I still can’t see any of the opening post.

We have blocked the ad that has been mentioned a a few times above now, so hopefully that issue is sorted.

@CasparBloomberg if you can get a screenshot of that when it happens and post it for us, that will help us to pinpoint the ad which is causing the issue. Thank you.

Still happening, it is the virgin atlantic ad that is the culprit. Very annoying

Oh no - we're really sorry that the fix didn't work.

Please can we get the URL links to the adverts that are causing issues?
You'll need to click on the advert to get this - but having that link will mean we can block it directly.

But it isn’t there now! A mumsnet premium ad in its place. All I can say is it was virgin Atlantic saying hi Austin, after it had told me to rotate my device. It was covering all the text and made the post unviewable, but I cannot recreate it.
