Being the perfect clone of my own DD, I would like to go thru Other Subjects and parcel out the old threads to the new topics.

I'm afraid that so many categories means that things do become a bit confusing and MN loses the 'cosey' feeling. Only my opinion of course.
Has Mumsnet become alot more active recently or have I just become slower?
Coddy, you make me laugh. How do you get away with it??

codswallop · 04/11/2004 21:35

what aname!

jiggy · 04/11/2004 21:36

I like categories and codswallop I hope your original post wasn't prompted by the new multicultural families topic?

SenoraPostrophe · 04/11/2004 21:36

Zebra, do you want to come and stay at my house and help sort out all the baby things? And the CD collection, work papers...you'd be in heaven!

codswallop · 04/11/2004 21:36

oh

sigh

no

OP posts:
MrsDoolittle · 04/11/2004 21:36

Now you see? About 15 people have posted since I started typing so noone knows what I am talking about.

jasper · 04/11/2004 21:36

I AGREE! (YES I'M SHOUTING)

Justine (mumsnet) · 04/11/2004 21:37

Zebra,
Me too - sometimes I waste whole afternoons doing that and still make very little dent - have to physically restrain myself...
but if you'd like to apply for the job of thread sorter outer, send us ya CV! (not much in the way of salary or perks though I'm afraid... well nothing actually )

moomina · 04/11/2004 21:37

what a fox! surely you mean, coddy?

at your pic of justine.

no more categories either - too confusing and just means I have to spend even more time on MN...

codswallop · 04/11/2004 21:37

KangaMummy · 04/11/2004 21:39

I think it is brill having catagories it makes easier to find what you are interested in.

Otherwise other subjects and chat are too big.
IMHO

WigWamBam · 04/11/2004 21:40

It's also easier to keep away from the stuff that you know you have no interest in but that other people do want to discuss.

codswallop · 04/11/2004 21:41

you shoudl say imao

( antipodean opinion) :0

Are you an elephant when you are not a fish?

SenoraPostrophe · 04/11/2004 21:43

on the other hand, I have a pathological fear of the spriritual/thingy/whotsit topic and steer clear. maybe I'm missing some good threads?

codswallop · 04/11/2004 21:44

oh god I hate htat stuff

OP posts:
WigWamBam · 04/11/2004 21:45

OK Coddy. In my opinion it's also easier to keep away from the stuff that you know you have no interest in but that other people do want to discuss.

Better?

codswallop · 04/11/2004 21:46

oh yes but think the flurry of nrew categories itn eh last week are going mad!

OP posts:
WigWamBam · 04/11/2004 21:47

It's certainly getting a lot to trawl through.

lou33 · 04/11/2004 21:47

Justine had her whip when I met her too.

nutcracker · 04/11/2004 21:47

I have to say i agree with Coddy, i think there shouldn't be anymore new ones, it's too much.
