Coddy - you are crazy

Justine (mumsnet) · 04/11/2004 21:21

Well we hadn't thought of the bog off approach but we'll certainly add it to our armoury, thanks . Funnily enough this has become a topic of discussion at hq - how many categories and what's the limit. What does everyone think - is it too unwieldy or if not how many categories would be too many?

onlyjoking9329 · 04/11/2004 21:21

well i was impressed to see a thread with my name

SenoraPostrophe · 04/11/2004 21:21

I think we should have a "Codswallop's rant of the day" category.

codswallop · 04/11/2004 21:22

Its got that way already Jutine Ithink
a ittel bit of " other subjects" does no harm!

lou33 · 04/11/2004 21:23

I thikn if you have many more sections it will be getting a tad ott tbh.

lou33 · 04/11/2004 21:23

Agree with you coddy.

Rowlers · 04/11/2004 21:24

Leave it as it is, no more needed surely?

SenoraPostrophe · 04/11/2004 21:25

but other subjects is too big - it's impossible to find anything.

I like categories.

codswallop · 04/11/2004 21:26

"women who live in spain who are grammar curmudgeons?"

OP posts:
codswallop · 04/11/2004 21:26

like that?

OP posts:
Justine (mumsnet) · 04/11/2004 21:28

The only thing is that 'tis part of our plan for world domination to get much bigger. If you've ever been on a thread with enormous numbers of people contributing it does get a bit sureal - by the time your answer pops up, you're answering a different question if you know what I mean, which can be fun of course but also confusing. More categories sort of spreads people out a bit, which is probably a good idea - but there does obviously have to be some limit - a full talk home page is probably a sensible place to call a halt...

codswallop · 04/11/2004 21:28

I am finding "only joking " too explicitly UN- funny already
liek a pissed person in a pub who wants to tell you a joke.....

OP posts:
codswallop · 04/11/2004 21:28

like those threads where everyone piles in? ;)

OP posts:
lou33 · 04/11/2004 21:30

NO Coddy, this is Justine

SenoraPostrophe · 04/11/2004 21:31

Yes, can we have a "women who live in Spain and are grammar curmudgeons" topic, please.

Coddy, did you see I edited your embedded relative clause there? I do hope you don't mind.

codswallop · 04/11/2004 21:31

Maybe some sub-categories are needed, rather than whole new categories.
