Has this changed or did I dream it used to be like this?

On the Active Conversations page, didn’t it used to say who the last poster was?

It was really useful - meant you could see on a busy thread if anyone new had posted without having to click into it first.

Unless I’ve lost the plot...

@JustineMumsnet please can you reinstate the 'last poster' column, while you're in the process of the research and transition phase? A change like this without consultation is really irritating!

Agreed

Hi @BIWI @FictionalCharacter thanks for this feedback. Flowers

I’m in the minority here but I like this change. Grin Makes the page look much cleaner, and thread titles display better.

@GreyhoundG1rl

I can see the whole thread and always have been able to. Have you checked your settings? It's different for newer posters, I think. Anyone deleting their accounts post Jeffreygate were stiffed a bit on reregistering, for some reason. I never got my original settings back.
Jefferygate?

I'm not keen on this change.
I often used to scroll through Active, and if I noticed the name of an interesting poster, I would read the thread regardless of the thread title.
Another use was spotting the name of the OP on a long running thread that I was following but not commenting on.

This change removes both of those useful possibilities, and I find I am reading far fewer threads, and staying on the site for less time, as now there are only the thread titles to grab my attention.

I agree with everyone else - it was useful to see whether the thread had been posted on since your own last post. I think levelling up between desktop and mobile would be better than levelling down, though I appreciate I'm saying that with no technical expertise at all, just a user perspective.
