Keep getting this error message

It's happening too often, I need an alternative site for back up when I'm bored. Just can't sit here twiddling my thumbs.

I could not access mn hardly at all yesterday afternoon/evening though, but it does seem much better for me this morning 🙂

I echo what the others have said, it would be good to know why this keeps happening and why MNHQ weren’t being more proactive about providing info last night?! Since Jeffrey we have consistently fed back that mnhq could be better at telling us what’s going on, please.

First it was a DDoS attack
Last week was new code / testing issues
Yesterday - no explanation.

It would be nice to get a response, it seems quite odd it's happening every Saturday now.

I‘m guessing the servers may no longer be capable of handling the surge in traffic which peaks on weekends/Saturdays. This didn‘t bode well for several forums I used to be part of and they ended up closing without warning.

@User594022452 - do you mind me asking, those other forums that you used to be part of that ended up closing without warning, did they charge membership? Did you have to pay to use them or part of them? If you did, did you get any money back when they ceased operation?

They were both silly gossip forums (a bit embarrassed I was on there) and no, they didn't charge membership. They were those typical free-to-use bulletin board style forums that were popular in the 2000-2010s.

Hi all, and sorry for the inconvenience. This is the second week we've had problems - it's because we had periods of high traffic which put stress on our infrastructure.

To resolve this we've commissioned an additional server. It's online now so things should improve. Please do continue to let us know if you experience further issues with the site.
