So that all the Grammar pedants can sit in there and simmer at the rest of the board's incompetence quietly and without disturbing the rest of us.

I did restrain myself from pointing out putting RIP in lower case was causing confusion about the nature of a thread earlier. Although I've just lost any brownie points I gained by mentioning it here...

VeniVidiVickiQV · 10/10/2007 18:27

LOL.

I am confused....no capitals in sentences AT ALL???

Perhaps there was a topic all of its own, people could seek the advice who think they know better

Can it be called Grammar School?

SenoraPostrophe · 10/10/2007 18:31

grammar pedants, surely?

VeniVidiVickiQV · 10/10/2007 18:42

LOL

It will be called "Dragging Up MNers" and it will be run by a harsh taskmaster, such as this type

QuootieSpookypie · 10/10/2007 18:45

Why has Grammar got a capital G? Unless it shall be the title of the room...

VeniVidiVickiQV · 10/10/2007 18:46

Yes, it is a Noun.

Although, undoubtedly someone will come along in a minute and correct me

OP posts:
VeniVidiVickiQV · 10/10/2007 18:46

oh look, I capitalised "noun"

OP posts:
QuootieSpookypie · 10/10/2007 18:47

yes I noticed, get out. Go on, go. You fake pedant.

QuootieSpookypie · 10/10/2007 18:48

Ooo, I forgot the capitalise the Y in Yes

fleacircus · 10/10/2007 18:51

VVV, surely you aren't suggesting that all nouns should be capitalised? That aside, this is clearly a marvellous idea and would make me very happy indeed. I always avoid the grammar threads as I am aware of how obnoxious and tedious my pedantry is. I would love a special place in which to nitpick with like-minded bores

zippitippitoes · 10/10/2007 18:51

oh yes if they cant be driven away alltogether then a coral would be the next better thing

WanderingTrolley · 10/10/2007 18:51

Would'nt

unfortunatly

babies (missing apostrophe)

Advice for pedants: don't click on VVVQV's link.

Gah.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 10/10/2007 18:53

No, I'm suggesting there be a separate room for self-proclaimed grammar pedants

OP posts:
WanderingTrolley · 10/10/2007 18:57

sucess

formular

stratedy

Gah again.

Yes, we need a room of our own. We should all sit in there and have a good think about what we done.

Can we have an award for the grottiest grammar? Shall we call it the Golden Colon?

SenoraPostrophe · 10/10/2007 18:59

WanderingTrolley · 10/10/2007 19:08

SenoraPostrophe · 10/10/2007 19:09
