Can we have the ability to hide goady posters please?

There are posters on here who I have come across recently, who basically admit to just being here to snigger at or to harass parents who are struggling. They don't like children and they think anyone who has them is selfish, they describe children as a disease etc. They don't technically break talk guidelines, although I do question whether a poster joining a parenting forum, specifically because they dislike parents and children to be not in the spirit / borderline trolling.

I know that even if we could hide their posts, they could snigger behind their screens and never post and I'd be none the wiser, but the problem is, e can't hide them, they're goady and they can't help themselves. It makes this not feel like a safe space for parents, despite it being a "parenting" forum, as these people are allowed to do this with absolutely no intervention that I can see.

So, could we please have the ability to hide posts by specific posters? I know they could just name change and come back again on a different thread, but they usually give themselves away pretty quickly.

There are plenty of childfree spaces online. These people have no place here imo. They won't be banned I am guessing, but I still don't want to have to read their crap.

I am not talking about all childless/childfree people btw. I know there are loads of people who aren't parents who still contribute in a positive and / or constructive way.

Hi OP

Thanks so much for the suggestion.

As ever, we are happy to discuss and consider these things but we're not quite sure that hiding posters would be possible. At least not in the near future.

As ever, please do continue to report your concerns to us. Sometimes, if someone isn't breaking talk guidelines, it might not look as though we're doing much - but rest assured, all reports are investigated and repeat concerns are something we've always got an eye on. Flowers
