What is the point of this on advanced search ?

and do not include the words:.

Years I have been trying to work this out and it is more useless than a double negative.

Sometimes people like to refine their search and not including certain words can do this. We'll pass your comments over to our developers (would be interesting to know how much it's used).

This is a recent problem that we're aware of and are trying to resolve. Please take a look at this other Site Stuff thread - Search - where TomMumsnet has posted this message -

Thanks for your patience on this.

We discovered what the issue was. It looks like it only impacts searches that are 'Title' only. We've got one of our developers looking at it now and should hopefully have a fix later this week.

We'll update everyone here once it's fixed.
