I am disproportionately excited seeing as I probably wont use it.

Shame Tech can't do a metafilter and create a 'no self serving whinging' button as well but well done Tech!

I'd vote for a N0 'shameless-smuggery' button.

So when someone posts asking how to impove their childs diet, the button would block me from seeing the inevitable "Sorry not much use to you I'm afraid as my two simply adorewhole foods, a treat for them is a mung bean cassolet and goodness, what they would do for a plate of crudites!! - good luck"

Bleugh...

Thanks Dustystar for the why no special needs historical explanation.

I still don't like it though.

AbbyMumsnet · 15/09/2007 10:27

Hi Mrs Marvel - sorry your not in favour of this - but it did come about as a result of requests from our members who regularly frequent the special needs boards. It certainly wasn't done because we wanted to "exclude" anyone.

AbbyMumsnet · 15/09/2007 10:28

That should read: sorry you're - oops - still waking up here!

StealthPolarBear · 15/09/2007 10:42

can we have a "no drool from baby sat on your knee while you MN" button please?
Or can MN contribute towards my tissue bill?

And I thing the "no in the news" button was partly to do with recent events but also that some people don't like logging on and being met with the latest tragedy/sad/horrific story.

Budababe · 15/09/2007 10:47

I 'THINK' obviously not 'thing'!

MrsMarvel · 17/09/2007 00:53

Abbymumsnet - regarding no special needs button - dustystar said it was started because people were being offensive to those on the SN threads. Surely the answer would be to put a stop to the offensiveness?
