Coronavirus topic & trending now

Any way of stopping threads in the Coronavirus topic from appearing in Trending Now? I think you’ve previously done that for other boards (FWR?) and it’s really quite anxiety-provoking to keep seeing the thread titles pop up when you’ve hidden the board.

On the app how do you hide the cv topic or is that not possible

@LargeGinOnTap you have to go into the desktop version.

If you use the app you don't get 'trending now' or any of that sort of stuff. Perhaps some people would find that a bit calmer and easier to control?

I just came onto Site Stuff to make the same request, a way to hide the CV board from 'trending now'.

Actually @MNHQ , just changing the functionality so that any board that is hidden doesn't appear in your personal 'Trending now' would be a great generic feature. Even if it means that someone's Trending Now is blank.

Also Mumsnet, why do you have to be on desktop to hide an entire topic? Surely these days lots of people are like me and only ever use Mumsnet on mobile? I am really fed up with the Coronovirus topic taking up all my active threads.

Another vote for getting rid of the "trending now" box. The thread titles alone are driving me mad.
