New emails about updates

Why are there so many new emails telling me there’s an update on a thread? Why would anyone want an email on this? We can go to the site and check ‘I’m on’.

It seems a bit counterintuitive as all it’s made me do is unsubscribe from everything. They’re still coming though - I’ve had several today.

I've had these again today, turn off the vote option if necessary but they do need to stop.

Smelborp · 02/02/2020 07:51

Can’t you turn them off until you sort it? I unsubscribed from everything (and I did like a couple of the emails before) but they’re still coming.

I am sure if they could "turn it off" they would.

Add Mn to your blocked senders list until it's fixed.

Strugglingtoquit · 02/02/2020 09:41

MN you’re breaching gdpr by continuing to send crappy emails to people like me who gave unsubscribed. It needs fixing as an urgent priority.

It should be a very simple process to disable emails.

I don’t know why your sending them anyway. After I’ve voted I couldn’t give a fuck what happens.

This was my first thought. Surely it goes against GDPR?

Not if you don't know why it's happening, which they don't seem to be. It's also pretty easy to add senders to a block senders list.

PineappleDanish · 02/02/2020 13:25

I have had THREE of these this morning after unsubscribing from all emails.

ChicCroissant · 02/02/2020 23:58

I've tried unsubscribing from vote notifications via the talk options screen - but how was that option ticked in the first place? I'll see if it works (must go and vote on something!)

Misandra

I already told them several times on another thread that they are breaking GDPR rules and that if it continues I will be reporting them. And yet still they haven’t done anything about it.

What a massive over reaction to a few wayward emails.

If it’s annoying you that much just block sender until it’s sorted.
