New emails about updates

Smelborp · 17/01/2020 23:30

Why are there so many new emails telling me there’s an update on a thread? Why would anyone want an email on this? We can go to the site and check ‘I’m on’.

It seems a bit counterintuitive as all it’s made me do is unsubscribe from everything. They’re still coming though - I’ve had several today.

@YetAnotherBeckyMumsnet has said on the other thread that they have now switched off the emails until theyncan work out how to unsubscribe from them.

ChocChipWookie · 18/01/2020 20:38

I unsubscribed earlier but still had more.
Very very annoying.

SomeHalfHumanCreatureThing · 19/01/2020 00:12

@BIWI yes, but the point is that you can't unsubscribe

SomeHalfHumanCreatureThing · 19/01/2020 00:13

Why haven't @mnhq replied on this thread?

PickAChew · 27/01/2020 21:07

Had another one of these emails, today.

Had three emails today after previously unsubscribing from all. The last teo came after I again unsubsribed with a lonk from the today’s first email.

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 27/01/2020 21:31

teo - two
lonk - link

Smelborp · 27/01/2020 21:33

The unsubscribe doesn’t work. It just ticks itself automatically when you try and save your options.

I got another email, @KimMumsnet?

StinkyWizleteets · 31/01/2020 20:39

For the love of dog please respect my
Wishes to unsubscribe from the update emails I never subscribed to in the first place

JellyfishandShells · 31/01/2020 22:13

Gah - more today ! Please stop them. Am unsubscribed but seems to make no difference

AFirst · 01/02/2020 04:10

Aghhhhhhhhhhh. More unwanted emails about AIBU polls. I do not want to receive ANY emails from you other than the ones in response to reports I have made about trolls etc.

Also, it's happened at the weekend again. Perhaps you need to give your tech team Fridays off work...... or at least tell them to stop meddling 😅

Its really IRRIRATING and unprofessional

FourDecades · 01/02/2020 05:29

I have started getting them too....and got one today

PickAChew · 01/02/2020 09:06

I've I subscribed from all emails and still get them.

T0tallyFuckedUpFamily · 01/02/2020 11:30

Noooooo! MNHQ They’re back!! They’re like the irritating relatives that you read about on Mumsnet, they won’t bloody stop popping in! I want to go NC with them!!!!

PonderTweek · 01/02/2020 14:54

I got three today (so far). I have unsubscribed from everything but they keep on coming. Hmm

Smelborp · 01/02/2020 15:38

Why are they back again? This isn’t good marketing or awareness raising.

OP posts:
DrinkFeckArseGirls · 01/02/2020 19:02

2 more today. I guess when we unsubscribe they think it’s just from that one poll’s updates but if you vote more, you get more emails. Madness.

RivkaMumsnet · 01/02/2020 20:51

Thanks to everyone who has posted - just to let you know we are trying to find out what's going on now.

StinkyWizleteets · 01/02/2020 20:54

It needs to stop. It’s a shit feature, it’s passing people off

StinkyWizleteets · 01/02/2020 20:55

*pissing

CornishPorsche · 01/02/2020 21:14

Another person receiving them here. Very irksome.

HoneysuckIejasmine · 01/02/2020 21:18

Omg why??? Who asked for these in the first place?! I've now unsubscribed from everything, which I guess means I won't get insight panel emails now?

Though I still got one after unsubscribing...

INeedNewShoes · 01/02/2020 21:20

Yep. I’ve had a handful of these emails and feel similarly irritated by it! If I want to see an update on a thread I’ll just return to it via threads I’m on.
