Is the Android app just not a priority for MNHQ?

I've started various threads for the issues I've had with the Android app over the past few months. To name just a few:

  • "connection" errors
  • can't post when including photos
  • emojis all showing up as gin bottles
  • all linked text replaced with "click here", some of which have the link completely removed so it's just plain text
  • duplication of starred boards

I've bumped some of these over a number of months, get some replies from mods, and then... None of the issues have been resolved at all.

I'd like to know if the Android app isn't supported/prioritised so I can just give up and use the mobile browser version, which is full of ads but at least works most of the time!

Hi OP

We understand where you're coming from completely. Our goal, eventually, is to have both apps up and running perfectly. We've got a lot of techy work to be getting on with, but it absolutely does matter to us and it's on our list.

We're sorry you are still experiencing these issues with the Android App. We have a plan to make improvements and fixes to the app - but unfortunately, it won't be right now. We're hoping to release an update later this year. We appreciate your patience and we will update you on new information and fixes in the app as soon as we can. Flowers
