To wonder why MNHQ is gratuitously trying to offend Christians?

I usually use MN on my laptop, but whenever I try to grab a quick look on my phone, I keep getting an annoying pop-up inviting me to sign up to receive regular emails. It doesn't have an X in the corner to click and get rid of it, but I discovered that it will eventually go if you tap elsewhere on the screen.

The last couple of times, it's had a bizarre message saying "Jesus saves, Mumsnet delivers". What is it even meant to mean? I think it seems to be juxtaposing Jesus with MN and suggesting that MN is superior, but it doesn't make a lot of sense.

No, I'm not terribly upset by it, before anybody calls me a snowflake, but it just seems a very strange message to choose and wantonly calculated to cause offence to Christians. Why would you do that? What was the point in it? It just comes across as a very poor show and a cheap shot for no reason at all.

Morning all - and thanks for the reports about this thread.
It sounds like strange behaviour from an advert - please bear with us whilst we investigate. And if anyone has a screenshot or a link to where the advert is linking to, that would be a huge help too.
We'll move this to the Site Stuff area in a mo.
