Hi all, it's been suggested to us - and we think it's a really good idea - to set up a topic within the mind, body and soul umbrella to cover all aspects of depression. This will include PMT/PND/bi-polar etc etc. We're a bit unsure what to call the thread and were wondering whether you guys can give us some suggestions. Will let you know once it's up and running.

Rachel, Justine and Carrie

lou33 · 18/09/2004 00:16

am ok ta. Thought you would be in bed with a bowl by your side...

DelGirl · 18/09/2004 00:23

nooo, it's friday, seem to have got a 2nd wind if you pardon the expression and I spend most afternoons in bed so....... No bowls by my side either, that's the thing, I've not actually been ill, just feel sick 24/7 . Think I may go to bed very soon though, just wanted to catch up on the mn goings on whilst I feel relatively human

lou33 · 18/09/2004 00:28

Oh gawd i remember all that. You sound just like i was. Have you tried the acupressure bands?

DelGirl · 18/09/2004 00:34

yep, tried everything, nothing seems to help tho . Even ginger biscuits don't help anymore, they didn't help much before but I have a real aversion to them now. Didn't like them much to start with. Maybe I'll be lucky and it'll stop soon eh?

MUMINAMILLION · 18/09/2004 00:35

Yes, I was the same with mine (Im presuming you ARE talking about 'morning' sickness?). My understanding boss looked at my green face one day and said 'well, you will get pregnant. Goes with the territory'. I had acupuncture with my 4th one and it really helped.

lou33 · 18/09/2004 00:39

I had to get metaclopromide for my sickness as well

MUMINAMILLION · 18/09/2004 00:41

Did you find lou that you felt worse the days you were not sick? If I was sick early on, I would be ok for the rest of the day. But the days I wasnt sick, I just continue to feel like I was going to be. Really awful!

lou33 · 18/09/2004 00:44

I just felt like dying the whole time. There were no respite days. Worst one was dd2. Had it until i was 16 weeks with her.

DelGirl · 18/09/2004 00:45

i was wondering about acupuncture,. Did you have to have it done often? I'm not keen on taking any tablets tbh, unless absolutely necessary and i'm not actually being sick so they prob wouldn't give me any.

DelGirl · 18/09/2004 00:47

16 weeks, hells bells, please no.

DelGirl · 18/09/2004 00:48

if i was throwing up all morning but then ok the rest of the time that would be fine by me but I feel sick ALL the time, even in the middle of the night. There's no let up at all.
