Firstly, please could someone get permission from Misdee to contact the media, then perhaps post ideas on this thread before rushing out and emailing everyone on the web - once we have her permission we can all do what we can to help Peter.

Secondly, come on MNHQ, you have some 'serious' media contacts surely??

I think if Misdee and Peter decide they want any publicity (and they may well not want to and I understand totally if that's the case), they should see if they can get a publicist to guide them through it.

Agree with vvv, if this goes ahead then it needs to be taken on by a publicist, someone who knows who to talk to/how to pitch this story for maximum impact.

And that will then come down to money, I?m sure that publicists don?t work for free, so we?d need to find out how to get a publicist/what it would cost.

We could do an e-mail campaign to everyone in our contacts lists to ask people to register as donors and to forward on to their contacts (a bit like what happened in the Madeleine McCann case).

Please read!

I have spoken to sarah this morning and passed on all your well wishes and thought. I have asked her her thoughts on media coverage. She has said she wants to protect the girls from this devesting news as long as possible and so has said no to media right now. Peter is struggling alot right now and she feels the extra weight would be too much.
She thanks you for all the support and good thoughts, but want to raise awareness of transplants in general so has asked me to ask MNHQ to put a link on their home page, which im just about to do.
Thanks

Lisa

Oh bless her.

poor misdee, it's so enormous what's happening...

gogetter · 27/07/2007 13:10

try mediauk.com if you look at the individual media (radio, newpapers etc) there is alphabet list with all the different companies.
You can find out names of news directors/managers and target them directly.

Thanks for the update Lisa, send her our best wishes x

Thanks for the update Lisa. Tell her we are all thinking of her and Peter and the girls. Just really really wish we could do something.
