Today giant MN ads have started appearing in the middle of threads, they jump about and take up the entire screen.

Can you please fix it? I’ve attached a screenshot.

They are awful, please get rid. I keep thinking I've hit the end of the thread when I haven't. I've even spent my mumsnetting time on Reddit instead today as they're so annoying.

SleepingSloth · 01/05/2019 00:36

They're really annoying. As others have said it makes you think you've come to the end of the posts. I hope you get rid of them.

Littlechocola · 01/05/2019 00:42

Another thumbs down. I think I’ve read the whole thread. I’m not actually taking any notice of the adverts so no idea what you are advertising.

BelulahBlanca · 01/05/2019 00:43

Makes reading threads V confusing.

InterchangeableEmma · 01/05/2019 00:51

Yes, extremely annoying. Another one here thinking threads had ended that hadn't.

Willow2017 · 01/05/2019 01:05

Not blockibgbends if threads here hudt blocking out most of op at top of threads. Sick of bouncing back and forwards to previoud page to get rid of them.

Us those 'blank pages' are still hapoening and pages freezing up with 'page not responding' messages.
Its a real trial to come on mn these days.

Willow2017 · 01/05/2019 01:05

Not blocking ends of threads fgs!

NoWordForFluffy · 01/05/2019 23:01

It hideous. Please make it stop.

Grandma14 · 02/05/2019 08:23

Have reported....gives me migraines, so sadly will not be using MN again until they stop.

AnyaMumsnet · 02/05/2019 11:54

Hi there all,

Thanks so much for your feedback - we're passing it on and hopefully will have more information for you soon.

AnyaMumsnet · 02/05/2019 12:33

Hi all,

You'll be happy to hear we've taken the decision to remove this for logged in users. It'll remain for logged out users, as it has done for the last 8 months. Sorry it's been so annoying for you all, but the feedback has been really useful Smile.

FissionChips · 02/05/2019 13:55

Hurrah!

That's great, thanks MNHQ. It was SO damned annoying!

hugoagogo · 02/05/2019 15:43

I am definitely. Logged in.

NoWordForFluffy · 02/05/2019 16:34

Me too.

DecumusScotti · 02/05/2019 20:32

Phew, thank goodness for that. Smile

hugoagogo · 03/05/2019 06:45

Ah now it has gone.Grin

InterchangeableEmma · 06/05/2019 19:59

I keep getting this in threads, it just disappears if I click om the cross. It's no bother but it's been popping up consistently since the actual ads whent and that's probably not supposed to happen. (Logged in, safari on iPhone)

Still all over the place today

InterchangeableEmma · 10/06/2019 16:44

The placeholders (screenshots above) never did go and now the ads are back

1wokeuplikethis · 10/06/2019 16:51

It’s really irritating. It popped up on the thrush thread making it officially the most irritating thread ever.

Please get rid of them mn.

InterchangeableEmma · 10/06/2019 17:20

I was reading a thread just now, only 4 posts long but with an advert inserted. It was directed after the op too, makes it look like the thread has ended. Pop one in every 50 or 100 posts with a 'content continues' notice above it if you MUST but this is just ridiculous.

InterchangeableEmma · 10/06/2019 17:21

*directly

AnyaMumsnet · 10/06/2019 17:24

Hi there @InterchangeableEmma

Can we ask what device you're using? We have made some changes to ads today, so it might be related.

InterchangeableEmma · 10/06/2019 17:33
