Today giant MN ads have started appearing in the middle of threads, they jump about and take up the entire screen.

Can you please fix it? I’ve attached a screenshot.

Yep, me too. Accessing mumsnet through mobile on safari.

IWannaSeeHowItEnds · 29/04/2019 22:04

Have mnhq done this on purpose? It's fucking irritating.

Kpo58 · 30/04/2019 04:36

I get these too. I hate them too. I keep thinking threads have ended much earlier than they have.

BertieBotts · 30/04/2019 11:00

I get this too. Not everyone has a gigantic phone, they look awful.

I can see them on desktop as well but they aren't in the middle of threads and do look a bit less spammy on there.

However, they are still condescendingly obvious "tips". Sorry.

FissionChips · 30/04/2019 11:11

I’ve reported the thread so hopefully MN will look into it soon.

Me too
I seem to always get every issue going

AnyaMumsnet · 30/04/2019 13:06

Hi there all,

Just to let you know we are aware of this and are looking into it at the moment.

AnyaMumsnet · 30/04/2019 13:24

Hi again all,

This is a widget we've tested for a number of months across the entire site to logged out users. After a successful period of testing this widget we've decided to trial showing this to users who are logged in too - but only in Chat for the moment.

We welcome your feedback on this - if this is impacting your experience of using the site, it's important we know so please do give us your thoughts.

BoreOfWhabylon · 30/04/2019 15:06

I've had to turn Adblock Plus back on, @AnyaMumsnet. Sorry and all that, but needs must.

Redshoeblueshoe · 30/04/2019 15:09

They are very annoying

DecumusScotti · 30/04/2019 16:54

Please get rid of them. They’re awful.

FissionChips · 30/04/2019 19:01

They keep tricking me into thinking I’ve reached the end of the thread Angry.

Please get rid of them.

OP posts:
TheBullshitGoesOn · 30/04/2019 19:03

Please get rid of them. They disrupt the flow of the thread.

I keep thinking the thread is ready for the next page but obviously it isn’t

It's really annoying

RTBAdmin · 30/04/2019 22:19

Super annoying. Keeping thinking I'm at end of thread. I keep leaving mumsnet and browsing elsewhere.

Karwomannghia · 30/04/2019 22:20

Annoying. Not sure where the bottom is and the thread jumps up.

IrenetheQuaint · 30/04/2019 23:29

Infuriating

LarryGreysonsDoor · 30/04/2019 23:33

I noticed it earlier.
Very annoying. As said above, it made me think I’d reached the end of the thread.

I’ve got no problem with advertising, MN have bills to pay and we use this for free, but this is annoying.

Reasonstobeearful · 30/04/2019 23:35

Awful. They look so tacky that I thought I had a virus.

Actually I'm still worried that I do have a virus: there's one totally spammy one telling me I'm a millionth customer - is that really one of yours?

FelicityBeedle · 30/04/2019 23:35

They’re bloody awful, I also keep missing the end of the thread

SinisterBumFacedCat · 01/05/2019 00:27

My feedback is it makes me think i’ve hit the end of the thread early. Very confusing Confused
