Just that, tried to add a witchy face or two but they're not showing up?

Mine still aren't working

@MNHQ still haven't got emojis, and can't open PMs - the blue button doesn't open the menu. Like the emoji button, it's dead.

So I took unsociable AND sarky.

(Kindle tablet, silk, mobile site and desktop.)

I can manually type in [ smile ] for but if I click on the emoji button, nothing happens.

I'm emoticonless on the app on an iPad, latest version of IOS. I can see emoticons in other people's posts, but can't generate them myself either by button or using square brackets. I can see them as I'm writing the post, but not on the thread.

Sorry all! The app team are still looking into this - bear with 'em. We're afraid it's not likely to be fixed over the weekend, but we've waved the flag again and hopefully there'll be an answer for you soon.

Hi guys, thanks for reporting this!

I've spent a while looking into this, and it's taking a while to get to the root of this.

It's only an issue for iOS Talk app users and I think it's connected to some changes in iOS 12 that we didn't notice until now. We'll get to the bottom of it and have a fix out ASAP. Until then, you may need to get by with the native emojis 🧙🏼‍♀️👻

Or use the browser version if we really need to emote? Some of the MN emoticons are just much better than standard emojis - none of those quite capture the hmm or confused. And inexplicably there is no global agreement on how to depict The Bull for Archers fans.  (there should be a grin there, btw)

Hi @TimMumsnet, I still haven't got function in the two blue buttons on the top right of the screen either, that one's that are supposed to produce drop-down menus that include e.g. PMs.

Plus the emoji button is dead too (below the dialogue box).

This is on a kindle, silk browser, both mobile site and desktop. Been like it for weeks now.

I've updated my iphone so testing now.. 

No emojis still here, is it still being fixed, or just me?
