when I press on email link it doesn't go to last entry. It goes to first.
Also searching on user's name, doesn't take me to their posts.

Hi OP,

Thanks for getting in touch. We're sorry to hear you're having issues - can we ask what device you're using to access Mumsnet, and whether you're using the mobile site, desktop site or app?

MrsGollach · 09/10/2018 17:10

Laptop, Firefox with chrome

OP posts:
MrsGollach · 11/10/2018 16:43

How are you getting on Mumsnet? I believe I'm not the only one with these issues.

OP posts:
MrsGollach · 15/10/2018 15:44

When might I expect a response please?

OP posts:
AnyaMumsnet · 15/10/2018 15:52

Hi there OP,

Sorry to have taken so long, we're giving this a nudge now. Can we just check, are you using Firefox, or Chrome?

MrsGollach · 15/10/2018 16:11

The browser I am using is Firefox 62.

OP posts:
MrsGollach · 19/10/2018 10:21

Is there anyone doing anything about this?

OP posts:
AnyaaaaaaaaaaaarghMumsnet · 19/10/2018 16:00

Hi again OP,

We've given tech another nudge now.

ShirleyPhallus · 19/10/2018 16:01

So if I search for a poster’s name and then click on the post on any given thread, is it supposed to take me directly to their post? It always just takes me to the start of the thread instead

MrsGollach · 19/10/2018 16:20

Exactly @ShirleyPhallus. Worked well for years.

Also when I get a notification of a new post of a thread I've contributed to it should (as before) go to that post. It doesn't it goes to the first post. Really annoying and timewasting.

OP posts:
MrsGollach · 24/10/2018 18:52

You're really not taking this seriously are you???

OP posts:
AnyaaaaaaaaaaaarghMumsnet · 25/10/2018 09:06

Hi again @MrsGollach,

We are still looking into this - could you please try on a different browser and let us know what happens? This'll help us get to the source of the problem.

MrsGollach · 01/11/2018 13:19

OK, I reluctantly signed out of Firefox and in to another browser (reluctant because it means resetting my password). Same problem continues. This is really annoying. I've been on this site (in various forms) for years and this has only started happening recently.

OP posts:
MrsGollach · 06/11/2018 08:14

So this is now almost a month that I've been trying to get this sorted and this has been raised as an issue before (several times). Do you not care?

OP posts:
AnyaMumsnet · 06/11/2018 14:11

Hi there @MrsGollach,

We're really sorry this is taking so long, but we are looking into it.

It sounds like it is, but just to be sure, is this happening on all threads?

It might be worth clearing your cache, you can find instructions to do so here.

We'll let you know when we have an update.

AnyaMumsnet · 06/11/2018 15:27

Hi again OP,

Also, could you please copy and paste the URL of one of the links that are causing the problem here? Just so we can check whether the link you're receiving is correct.

MrsGollach · 06/11/2018 17:18

OK, if I put an advanced search for below name
AnyaaaaaaaaaaaarghMumsnet
and choose the below thread I actually get Anyamumsnet threads coming up.

OP posts:
MrsGollach · 06/11/2018 17:19

I'm going to have to wait for a new notification message to send you.

OP posts:
MrsGollach · 06/11/2018 17:24

When I put Linok's name in advanced search (random poster chosen)

and pick this thread www.mumsnet.com/Talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/a3415983-AIBU-for-not-wanting-this-house#82370585

and pick her reply to Mummyoflittledragon...it goes to the first Linok's first post on that thread.

OP posts:
AnyaMumsnet · 07/11/2018 10:19

Hi there OP,

Thanks for posting those.

We've had a look and they look in order, and seem to work ok for us at MNHQ, so we're digging a little deeper to see what might be going on.

AnyaMumsnet · 09/11/2018 11:28

Hi again OP,

Tech are looking into this, but unfortunately they haven't been able to replicate it so far.

Is it possible that you're receiving several emails after not checking for a while, and so you're clicking on an a link that takes you to an older post?

We hope that makes sense - let us know if not.

MrsGollach · 09/11/2018 11:44

No, it's not possible. I've been on here for years in various guises so know what I am doing. Also...that doesn't explain not being able to go directly (via advanced search) to a named person's post.

I've cleared the cache by the way. Also..as you know, I'm not the only one to have this issue.

OP posts:
AnyaMumsnet · 09/11/2018 12:33

Hi again,

Could you try and see what happens when you click on an instance of your username on this link? We've tried in the office and it worked for us.

www.mumsnet.com/SearchArch?mustmatch=&dontmatch=&nickname=MrsGollach&src_displ_option=s_m_d_m&fromDate=&toDate=&topicmode=chs&chosentops=1374

MrsGollach · 09/11/2018 13:15

I get this message and see only the post above.

Ooohh..seems I can't cut and snip can I? Maybe that is not a supported function.
Anyhow it says "found 14 messages" "14 discussions" but as I say it only shows the above thread (and it doesn't go to the particular reply that I try to get to by clicking on my name)

OP posts:
AnyaMumsnet · 09/11/2018 15:26

Thanks for getting back to us.

We did set up the search so it only shows this thread, so no need to worry about that.

Could you please copy and paste the resulting URL when you click on one of those results so we can take a look?
