I am boycotting threads about the plight of the McCann family - anyone else?

I have the utmost sympathy for the Mccann family, and hope for a happy ending to thier trouble. Meanwhile I am not happy about many aspects of teh many threads, and hearby resolve to completely boycott them. By not clicking, not reading, nor responding (however horrible the views), and thus not adding to the circular and predicatable route they take, no matter what quality of ontervention is made.

Clasp your right hand over your left Nork and repeat the boycott pledge after me!

Not to mention, they are rank and wrong.

Rhubarb · 12/06/2007 15:27

I'd kill for a bag of crisps right now

expatinscotland · 12/06/2007 15:28

I've had two bags of Walker's Ready Salted today.

JeremyVile · 12/06/2007 15:28

I didn't feel the need to clasp my nork first time round, self restraint and all that but just got sucked in...oh the shame!
Nork now well and truly clasped.

Rhubarb · 12/06/2007 15:30

I WANT A BAG OF CRISPS AND I DON'T HAVE ANY AND WE DON'T HAVE A CORNER SHOP!

Oh woe is me.

expatinscotland · 12/06/2007 15:33

You can order crisps online, Rhu!

Rhubarb · 12/06/2007 15:34

Where?
Will they be delivered now?

expatinscotland · 12/06/2007 15:35

Tesco would be willing to bring you some, for a price .

Rhubarb · 12/06/2007 15:35

Huh! I want them NOW!

Rhubarb · 12/06/2007 15:36

I wonder if dh would bring some home for me?

expatinscotland · 12/06/2007 15:36

I want a bacon roll, too.

NOW!

Grrrr · 12/06/2007 15:37

In answer to the OP yes I am , I can't believe someone has just started another one.

Rhubarb · 12/06/2007 15:42

I can give you a bacon roll if you pass me the crisps.

What OP, what thread?

I am a sinner

Blu · 14/06/2007 15:13

I'm still here!

Blu · 14/06/2007 15:15

Twig - of course you can take whatever approach you like...but...be warned...challenge only prolongs and escalates it...and should you hear an echoey voice from the heavens going 'I to-o-o-o-old you so' it will be your own conscience!

Can I join too? I must, before I say something I regret to Miss Marple, Nancy Drew and their coven.

Twiglett · 14/06/2007 15:17

oh very well

expatinscotland · 14/06/2007 15:18

Where can I hire a sniffer dog that finds money?

Or buried treasure?

Twiglett · 14/06/2007 15:20

seriously though .. do you reckon that programmes like CSi and their ilk has made people feel that they have much more knowledge than they do?

expatinscotland · 14/06/2007 15:21

Yes, Twiglett, I do agree with you on your last point.

Shows like CSI also lead to the false sense that all crimes are solved quickly and neatly.

Enid · 14/06/2007 15:21
Halo

do you know I have been really, genuinely, in-RL, pleased with myself for staying off those threads

Twiglett · 14/06/2007 15:22

and that there's a 3d holographic imaging system for reconstructing facial features and terrain ...

oo do you have a 3D holographic imaging system, I'd love to have a 3D holographic imaging system
