thread killing is very depressing, I've killed a few in my time. I try not to take it personally now!

Actually I don?t think that newbyism is a state of mind, I think you can feel like a newby because of the way you are perceived and treated by other posters.

There are some posters who join and make an immediate impact, either with their personalities or their posts, but there are others who may post for years and who just aren?t that recognizeable/memorable, not because there?s anything wrong with them, but because it?s just how it is. It?s the same in rl, not everyone is going to be part of the in-crowd, doesn?t make them a lesser person though.

And I think that it depends on your personality as to how you react to that. Some people will be very upset, and feel that they just are not accepted, even though most posters probably have no opinion on them one way or the other, and other people are happy to continue posting regardless of how they feel they?re perceived by the masses.

I don?t consider myself to be one of the in-crowd or mn royalty, but I think that I?m probably recognizeable. That being said I don?t think that anyone would notice if I left. But I don?t think people think I?m a horrible person, I just don?t think people have an opinion one way or the other iyswim. or if they do, they don't feel the need to voice it. I haven't been told to fuck off yet though, so i'm pretty sure any opinion isn't that negative .
