When you graduate from being a 'newbie'????

How often do you have to post before you become a regular MNer????

RustyBear · 20/05/2007 17:45

lulu - I think you were born a famous Mner.....

Boco · 20/05/2007 17:48

I made the round up, my sister texted me to tell me, it was a great day, a turning point. After that, fame kind of went to my head, i started gambling, swearing, leering at young men, i've not been the same since. I used the c word once.

lulumama · 20/05/2007 18:17

PMSL , Boco, bet you make all the funny mnetter lists!

BecauseImWorthIt · 20/05/2007 20:39

I've been mentioned on lists twice.

Never made MP's round up.

Have definitely heard of (and have much respect for) Nursey Jo re the foxy lady and all that brouhaha

Would love LDC but too many carbs for a low carber!

Am v humble in the face of so many wise and funny women

cornsilk · 20/05/2007 20:46

I have been mentioned on round up but don't post enough to be recognised
but I do recognise most of the royals

WK007 · 20/05/2007 20:57

Think there is only one definitive way to cross over from being a newbie to being a....whatever - do something or have something done to you you will be remembered for forever (or at least more than a month). Ie;

cod has her 'wonderful' spelling
pph is 'the office girl'
RTKM is the omnipotent telly guide

etc etc

....alternatively if you're here enough you become part of the furniture and will never appear on any list because you just ARE

WideWebWitch · 20/05/2007 21:02

I've been in MP's round up a few times I think

and I'm sometimes on lists
have been here 5 years
visit every day
damn job gets in the way a bit though

ThatBeetroot · 20/05/2007 21:03

I 'don't give a damn'

SenoraPostrophe · 20/05/2007 21:05

flumpybumpy, the answer to all of your questions is "when you are ready ".

Although I admit I originally thought that you stop being a newbie when wickedwaterwitch or Aloha respond to one of you posts. Cod wasn't here when I started you see...

Bouquetsofdynomite · 20/05/2007 21:10

I was on MP's roundup once, was embarrassingly chuffed and tried to get DH to be as excited as me. I think you can guess he was not.

SenoraPostrophe · 20/05/2007 21:26

I think I've been in the roundup once. I was inordinately pleased too.

Cloudhopper · 20/05/2007 21:29

Mellowma - I recognise you. Don't be silly!

kittylette · 20/05/2007 21:31

what am i??

newbie still -= surely not

huh?

SenoraPostrophe · 20/05/2007 22:20

are you ready to be a regular, kitty?

Twinklemegan · 20/05/2007 22:36

People on the feeding-type threads recognise me as the one who... etc etc and I've been mentioned a couple of times when I've not been there. Is it really sad that I would even mention that? Probably - guess I'm still a newbie then.

Springadora · 20/05/2007 22:40

Huarumph, I don't even know what MP's roundup is or where it is posted.

wannaBeWhateverIWannaBe · 20/05/2007 22:41

I've never been in the roundup. I'm never on lists. But I do think I'm known. not royalty though

Twinklemegan · 20/05/2007 22:42

Springadora - it's an email thing that you can sign up for by going to the My Mumsnet area and changing your settings.

Springadora · 20/05/2007 22:44

Hey thanks TwinkleMegan.

mamazon · 20/05/2007 22:47

kitty after the threads you have staretd i dont think anyone could consider youa newbie. let me see we have had striptease at the wedding reception, sleeping with your DP's twin, SIL and the child eating dog....and those are just off the top of my head.
