i try to keep out of feeding related ones (though am sometimes drawn in)- far too contraversial,
i never go near style as i have none and don't care!

OP posts:
suzywong · 04/05/2007 10:19

ebay ones
not entirely sure what it has to do with parenting, but then again there's a gardening thread so who knows

Bores the bejeezus out of me at the best of times though

brimfull · 04/05/2007 10:20

baby ones,ie pregnancy/weaning etc-I'm past that stage
feeling depressed-sorry too depressing to read
aibu-just stupid
tea or bar-don't get it

burek · 04/05/2007 10:21

oh thank you kind people! yes, maybe I'll pop back on later and give it a try. Really should do some work now though...

DrippingLizzie · 04/05/2007 10:22

Totally agree, Enid. "Who's your favourite MNetter?" just makes me cringe and takes me back to all those cjunior school popularity lists...

QuitYourJibberJabber · 04/05/2007 10:22

burek they're looking for you in teh tea shp

burek · 04/05/2007 10:22

oooh ta! I'm running over there now... wehey!

foxinsocks · 04/05/2007 10:23

anything to do with Housekeeping

ditto babies, weaning (past that stage, can't remember it anyway)

for sale, antenatal, postnatal, wanted, ebay stuff (have no clue about ebay at all really)

oh and navel-gazing ones (to coin enid's phrase)

hana · 04/05/2007 10:24

threads asking for homework help ( ummm google it yourself )

Flamesparrow · 04/05/2007 10:25

None really... sometimes depression if I am low myself and can't handle other people.

Normally the bar because it moves too fast for me

maisiemog · 04/05/2007 11:19

I don't go into chat - don't use MSN or whatever it's called. Just not my 'thing'.
Don't go into the news bit either, unless there is a particular story in which I am interested, but wouldn't just go in for a look.
There are quite a few topic areas which are just not relevant for me right now, such as childcare.
Probably very seldom go into anything below 'Feed the World'.
Some of it is only relevant occasionally, such as travel advice - well it that's the case for me anyway - sigh!.

lucykate · 04/05/2007 11:23

feeding/weaning, thanks goodness mine are past that stage

i avoid threads that are kicking off, can't be doing with internet arguements

saltire · 04/05/2007 11:23

Breast and bottle feed ones, weaning and ante/post natal, because I'm past all that. occasional I foray into Potty training if I have a mindee who is being toilet trianed. I also tend to avoid ones about Who is the best mumsnetter/favourite poster type ones. Sometimes I keep off the food ones

mumblechum · 04/05/2007 11:24

Never go into the depression bit, it's too depressing.

Also the bottle/breast thing, I just don't remember it ever being a big deal when I was at that stage.

charliegal · 04/05/2007 11:29

any where MN starts to remind me of school.

DeviousDaffodil · 04/05/2007 11:57

Yes the fave mumsnetter ones are so predicatable - just an opportunity for people to suck up!
Ditto - funniest mumsnetter.
Thinking of starting a thread - which musnetter has pissed you off?
I would probably win hands down!
Hate all the smug parent ones - ' my 2 yr old can read a whole book is this normal?'
Feel like saying - no your child is a freak and so are you!!!

Birdly · 04/05/2007 13:02

At the risk of sounding utterly moronic, what and where are these tea shops and bars you keep talking about?
If it's a secret society involving an excess of chocolate eclairs and wine, I want to join! Now!!

QuitYourJibberJabber · 04/05/2007 13:03

er Birdly where the feck have you been?!

everday theres a

Birdly · 04/05/2007 13:10

But where? Where do I find them?! I want my choccy eclairs with the rest of you!

QuitYourJibberJabber · 04/05/2007 13:54

HERES the tea shp 0- tell them MamaG sent you and watch out for that Shosha

GiantSquirrelSpotter · 04/05/2007 14:00

Anything that looks extremely contentious that I would get sucked into instead of doing something else I ought to be doing (like work, housework, spending time with my kids, pursuing a social life, etc.)

Shoshable · 04/05/2007 14:56

I resent that (shall I call you JabbertheHutt I am a very very very very nice person well some of the times utterly respectable dontcha know

FiveFingeredFiend · 04/05/2007 14:57

Anything littleapin is on becuase she is a suck up

Shoshable · 04/05/2007 15:01

Liitlelapin, yes I used to be shosha, met you on the forces threads, and at just getting my name

LieselVentouse · 04/05/2007 15:23
