I'd just like to request that any trans threads be not (re)moved from AIBU or Chat

That is all.

If HQ has a position on this then it'd be great to hear it so we can all settle the debate regarding threads and boards on this particular issue.

All trans threads have a right to appear in AIBU or Chat without being shifted off to a board somewhere in the ether.

If anything there should be boards being closed down as they haven't been used in years.

Hi VladmirsPoutine,

Thanks for asking about this. Am happy to confirm that we have no plans to move threads concerning trans issues to any specific area of the site - if a thread's started in Chat or AIBU, that's where it'll stay.

In general we don't have hard and fast rules about where people choose to post - the only time we'd usually step in is for sensitive issues, so we'd move a thread asking about termination out of our Pregnancy topic and into our Pregnancy Choices one, for example.

Other than that, we leave it up to you.

As an aside, I think anyone who uses a vague title in their threads, trans or not, should be hung up by their fingernails and flogged.
