We know that deletions can be a peeve for many and so we're more than happy to address any concerns surrounding this.
The first thread mentioned was removed because we needed to have a look behind the scenes. We weren't entirely convinced that the OP was above board and felt that taking it down was best all-around. The second, the OP had some privacy concerns - which is something we always take seriously and in addition, it seems the thread had naturally tied itself up, though that's not usually a reason to delete in itself - there are always other circs, which we could have been much clearer about.
Just to clarify, we do try and push back on deletions and prevent them where possible, but depending on individual circumstances and/or the nature or topic of a thread, we will sometimes remove threads at the request of the OP. We are ultimately here to make parents lives easier, so if we agree that it's in the OP's best interests then we may remove a thread on request.
