Can we have your permission to run what some might see as an annoying ad please?

Please can we run an ad for Disney for the month of September that expands when you click on it (it's a banner across the top like the Rosabella Gregory one above that expands to 5x the depth when you click) - but it won't be on talk at all and will be capped to once per user per day (if you have cookies enabled)?

What do you think - would you shout at us and bugger off if we did or could you live with it?

Yes. But only because I never look anywhere else except talk.

JustineMumsnet · 30/03/2007 18:59

Ok so we've binned that idea because Enid said no...

Actually the agency has decided not to run the expandable on Mumsnet because they don't want to irritate us - and will run a regular ad instead. So now everyone's happy, yes?

Thanks so much for your input and to all (think that was everyone but Enid ) who said yes.

BecauseImWorthIt · 30/03/2007 21:14

I never really did get the thing about Disney. What is the problem? Sorry, not trying to wind anyone up I just really don't get it.

McDonalds - yes
Fruit Shoots - yes
Sunny Delight - yes

but really not sure about Disney, so you need to tell me!

shimmy21 · 30/03/2007 21:22

course you can love, and how very very nice of you to ask.

How much less irritating the ad will be now we've been asked our permission to share space with it on the site than it otherwise would have been.

That's what I love about MN.

JustineMumsnet · 30/03/2007 23:25

Thank you but we aren't having the ad anyway any more - at least not the expandable version - because the agency don't want to irritate Enid .
