Can we please have a "POUNCE AND GRIND" section?

as suggested by Lucykate?

With subsections:

Throw Yourselves to The Baying Mob Here

Yes You Are Being Unreasonable You Evil Hag

and

If You Want Support Then BabyWorld is Over That Way

OP posts:
DrMarthaMcMoo · 28/03/2007 21:25

I'd much prefer that to the interminable AIBU threads.

doggiesayswoof · 28/03/2007 21:26

lolol

doggiesayswoof · 28/03/2007 21:26

Yes You Are Being Unreasonable You Evil Hag

still lol rofl

tearinghairout · 28/03/2007 21:31

I enjoy AIBU, but some people do ask for it. Such as going into gory details of stretched bits during childbirth to Mum&baby group including a Dad & then wondering why he makes 'insulting' remarks about fanjos! Some women...

bunnypeculiar · 28/03/2007 21:31

lol
seconded

tearinghairout · 28/03/2007 21:32

Another subsection: Your MIL was right after all, eh?

DumbledoresGirl · 28/03/2007 21:32

Glad I am not the only one who finds the AIBU section just encourages people to moan about the silliest of things.

MerlinsBeard · 28/03/2007 21:33

can we not have an evil hag emoticon?maybe as a halloween special

NotQuiteCockney · 28/03/2007 21:34

Not sure I get 'pounce and grind' title. I like the subsections, though.

tearinghairout · 28/03/2007 21:35

Yeah, and we have to be supportive, for fear of being shot down in flames by everyone else. My MIL, by the way... no, I'll go back to AIBU!

NotQuiteCockney · 28/03/2007 21:35

Who has to be supportive? Since when?

harpsichordcarrier · 28/03/2007 21:36

I love the AIBU threads.

FrannyandZooey · 28/03/2007 21:37

I think the general idea was that the OP gets pounced on and ground down by the rest of MN

having a separate section would simplify things for those in the mood to pounce and grind, thus avoiding wasting their time trawling through threads that they cannot raise a lynch mob for

OP posts:
tearinghairout · 28/03/2007 21:38

Aren't you? Isn't that what we're here for? To be uncritically suportive, to reiterate that we, too are disgusted and that we'd have reacted in exactly the same way? Otherwise we'll have no mates!

harpsichordcarrier · 28/03/2007 21:39

lynch and string up?
batter me to the ground, then give me a good kicking while I'm down there?

tearinghairout · 28/03/2007 21:39

Fra - nice one. Sign me up.

FrannyandZooey · 28/03/2007 21:40

"batter me to the ground, then give me a good kicking while I'm down there?"

you forgot "and spit on the remains"

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 28/03/2007 21:41

I have never been called Fra before. I feel like a renaissance painter

OP posts:
DumbledoresGirl · 28/03/2007 21:42

Not sure how it will work though F&Z since the pouncing and grinding will be the decision of the responders not the initiator of the thread.

I can't see some poor woman worrying about the health of her baby choosing to put her concern into the P&G section!

tinkerbellhadpiles · 28/03/2007 21:43

Can we have an emoticon that represents the following sentiment:

'Get a life. If the thing you posted about is the most significant thing in your life, it's time to disconnect from the Internet and go outside. Really, honestly, it doesn't matter and no-one cares anyway'

I imagine it could be some sort of 'phurrt' symbol

NotQuiteCockney · 28/03/2007 21:45

Obviously we need to all have the ability to move threads from one section to another. That would be useful and not confusing at all.

FrannyandZooey · 28/03/2007 21:47

Yes, a sort of Wiki MN

oh that would be superb

OP posts:
Tatties · 28/03/2007 21:49

Fra is a cool name

Anyway I think "Ponce and Grind" would be better

lucykate · 28/03/2007 21:50

'pounce and grind'

actually sounds quite rude, could be a 'this is what happens to your sex life after having kids and you only have time/energy for the odd quicky' section

harpsichordcarrier · 28/03/2007 21:52

why is everyone calling you Fra, Fra?
