I just wondered.

do you deal with each one or do you get a warning or booted out?

Filthy - which thread ????

expatinscotland · 28/03/2007 16:52

Wasn't 'cowmad' banned?

littleEasterlapin · 28/03/2007 16:52

No, I don't think you should post about other threads

It's "my dad is bigger than your dad"

Rhubarb · 28/03/2007 16:57

I don't think Custy gives 2 hoots about being reported, she probably hasn't even noticed! But if they were banned their posts would have been deleted, the fact that the posts are still there point to the fact that the OP is indeed, daft!

Rhubarb · 28/03/2007 16:58

And all newbies are very welcome btw.

Esp if you have strong views!

littleEasterlapin · 28/03/2007 16:59

well of course YOU support custard, rhubard!

Rhubarb · 28/03/2007 17:00

I'm going off you now!

rabbid!

littleEasterlapin · 28/03/2007 17:00

LOL, I knew you'd bite at that

Rhubarb · 28/03/2007 17:02

Bloody rabbits!

NormaStanleyfEGGcher · 28/03/2007 17:02

back to the OP - I have reported a post (someone telling a depressed sounding poster that she didn't deserve to be pregnant in quite a nasty way), so what happens if you do misbehave? Do they e-mail you and tell you that it has been reported even if they decide not to delete it?

lulumama · 28/03/2007 17:02

LOL Lapin.. i am rent- a - gob!!

OrvilleRedenbacher · 28/03/2007 17:03

NormaStanleyfEGGcher · 28/03/2007 17:03

Oh yeah - and Lulu is daft too!

Rhubarb · 28/03/2007 17:04

No, they just delete it I believe.

MNHQ have stopped talking to me.

Rhubarb · 28/03/2007 17:05

I've had posts deleted and not known until I saw the ominous "post deleted" or summat.

Custy got an email asking her to pack it in once, I won't tell you what for!

littleEasterlapin · 28/03/2007 17:07

we could try it out...

RHUBARB SMELLS OF CHEESE

OK, now report me and I'll tell you what happens .

I got a mail once after I reported a post, but not when I got deleted myself.

Rhubarb · 28/03/2007 17:09

I would report you but like I said, I think MNHQ are ignoring me!

Insult someone else and get them to report you instead! Tell WelshBoris she's not really Welsh, that'll wind her up!

littleEasterlapin · 28/03/2007 17:10

no, I'm scared of her AND her dragon...

Rhubarb · 28/03/2007 17:12

Oh but you'll call ME will you? Oh very nice that is! Now I know where I stand at least! Huh!

littleEasterlapin · 28/03/2007 17:14
AbbyMumsnet · 28/03/2007 17:41

Well, seeing as I'm on duty today, I might as well sort this out...

First off, we look at the post in question and decide whether or not it needs deleting at all. Some obviously do, some don't, some are hard to call. We tend to mail the OP and the person who reported the post - unless, like today, 64 of you report the same post. Then it would just get tiresome. The system is not automated - life would be a lot easier if it was - if you get an e-mail from us saying we are looking into the situation we really are. We tend to deal with each post on an individual basis.

Does that help?
