Does re-registering an account with the same email address return it to the state it was previously in

Hello,

I had an old Mumsnet account that I de-registered alongside the whole hacking saga years ago. Created a new one using a new email account, and I'm really starting to miss things such as being able to view 1000 posts and some of the old MN folks I used to chat with (have since forgotten their usernames).

If I were to re-register for a MN account using that original email address, will I get my old post history back? What about the username I had? Will I be able to use that again on the re-registered account?

Thank you for your time!

Hi There, our tech team thinks you should, in theory, get your posting history back but this, sadly, can't be guaranteed. It is possible to re-register with your old username (if noone else has bagged it since you changed accounts) and you should then have the option to view 1000 posts.
Goodluck and let us know how it goes Gin
