bet she's got her own hams hanging in the pantry

milge · 20/03/2007 08:43

I think Justine's movitvations is more about the threat of litigation by shops which are not listed as selling nice ham- we would then have Ham Which Must Not Be Named (HWMNB)

Not nearly enough badly-behaved children to be me .

SueW · 20/03/2007 19:41

How do you manage to have these discussions when rest of us are doing boring htings like school run/going to work?

Mucho looking forward to finishing work in 10 days or so and joining inane nice ham discussions instead

IN the meantime, I might add to my listing of local deli/coffee shop/art gallery ideal for pit stop from M1 that it sells nice ham

Dottydot · 20/03/2007 19:43

Yes, a nice ham/deli/cafe/shop listing would be fab. We've got a fantastic nice ham shop near us that's all got an outside cafe bit at the back and sells all kinds of organic goodies. Would love to list it!

nailpolish · 20/03/2007 19:45

i couldnt give 2 hoots re nice ham.
you can get nice ham in loads of places, the map wouldnt be awash with little arrows
who else loves the word 'twofold'. i must use it more often

suejonez · 20/03/2007 19:46

maybe we could agree that you post nice ham shops as "attraction" with some kind of code - maybe "the pigs are flying early" in teh description to indicate a good ham shop

nailpolish · 20/03/2007 19:47

to get nice ham

buy from butcher and cook it yerself

easy

Cappuccino · 20/03/2007 19:51

if you do manage to grind her down re nice ham I would like a nice coffee category

this is all much more vital to day-to-day survival than ham; who on earth gets up and has a morning ham?

suejonez · 20/03/2007 19:53

in that case, can I have a nice bread category please? Only eat about 2 slices of ham a week

Dottydot · 20/03/2007 19:54

Our nice ham also sells nice bread - bagels and croissants and loaves and nice coffee!!! Maybe the shops have to sell a minimum of 3 nice things to get in...

Dottydot · 20/03/2007 19:54

Ahem. That was meant to say "our nice ham shop". Am getting far too excited about this.

suejonez · 20/03/2007 19:55

STAY AWAY from the croissants Dotty!!!

Dottydot · 20/03/2007 19:55

I can't eat nice bread any more... Haven't had a croissant for 5 months! (wish I could say the same about chocolate...)

SueW · 20/03/2007 19:57

I added deli/coffee shop/art gallery under 'Pubs/restaurants'

Well it is. You can buy something to eat and drink there. And nice ham. And quiche and cheese.

CODalmighty · 23/03/2007 17:17

well?

OP posts:
JustineMumsnet · 23/03/2007 17:34

CODalmighty · 23/03/2007 17:36

Nbg · 23/03/2007 17:37

We dont have a nice ham shop.
It sucks.

Twiglett · 23/03/2007 17:37

so where are we supposed to put our Charlie Bucket style olde fashioned sweetie shoppe .. it has glass jars on shelves behind the counter AND ration books that you can buy for the children

it is a shop that sells NICE SWEETIES

(you can see parents dragging their kids inside and the kids kicking and screaming cos all they want is a mars bar from budgens )

filthymindedvixen · 23/03/2007 17:39
