Hi everyone,
Tomorrow morning, Mumsnet will be moving from HTTP to HTTPS across the entire site. For those who are interested, HTTPS is the secure version of HTTP, the protocol over which data is sent between your browser and the website that you are connected to. The 'S' at the end of HTTPS stands for 'secure' - it means that all communications between your browser and the website are completely encrypted.
When the move happens the site may be down for a short time, but this is absolutely nothing to worry about; no-one's individual security will be affected in any way. Once we're back up, you shouldn't notice anything different at all, but if you do experience any issues with the site we'd really appreciate it if you could feedback on this thread.
Thanks for your help.
