Reading a thread when suddenly the page changed to a rather graphic video! I'm on an I pad (using safari) and I definitely haven't been on any dodgy sites, is this a mumsnet problem or an iPad problem?

This is far from the first time and it doesn't happen on other web forums I visit - why doesn't Mumsnet stop it - is it an inevitable consequence of accepting advertising from pretty much anyone?

Since this afternoon, my mn has been mindnumbingly slow. Coincidence?

Please let me assure you we definitely do not accept advertising from anyone, we have very strict blocks and rules in place, unfortunately the fraudsters are always finding ways to bypass security.
I am currently working with our partners to see what additional measures we can put in place, I will update on this thread.

So why doesn't it happen on any other website I look at? what measures do they put in PLACE to stop it happening? This has been going on for MONTHS.

Yeah mine was a full redirect. I think I may have clicked (or intended to) the active button underneath discussions of the day. Don't remember very well now though!

This just happened to me too.

On iPad using Safari.

When I posted on a thread I was redirected to a porn site. I didn't think to screenshot it but attached is my recent history showing the sites if that helps at all. There doesn't seem to be a way to copy the links without clicking on them again which I'm not keen to do!

Clicked on a link in talk and this popped up

I just got redirected to a dodgy site on my iPad Pro.

Happened to me Tuesday, I'm on iPad Pro and pick up MN from Facebook. I got the wanking woman.

Just clicked on a thread and got redirected to a click to win site. Pages are also taking forever to load. I'm on an iPad.
