Just that really - every time I come on to Mumsnet recently, I nearly jump out of my skin (could be megablocks ad.?) I'm not consciously doing anything...

How can I avoid this - any suggestions welcomed.

Hi notthe1parrot

No ads should play sound, if you can tell us which one it is I can take care of it.
I will check the megablock on too.

Thanks

Hi notthe1Parrot,

We're really sorry about this and we are flagging to our Ads team now.

Just when you think it's fixed...

LornaMumsnet · 03/11/2016 12:00

Hi again notthe1Parrot

Could we just ask if the advert causing the issues is the advert on this page: www.mumsnet.com/Talk ?

If not, could you pop over a link to the page that it's happening on?

Thanks for the patience whilst we're looking into this!

LornaMumsnet · 04/11/2016 16:52

Hi notthe1Parrot,

Not forgotten about you and so sorry for the delay in getting back!
Our Ads team are having some trouble replicating the issue.

Could we ask a few techy questions?

What device are you using, and what browser? If you try in a different browser, does the AD still play music?

We're still trying to get to the bottom of this so please do hang in there!

Hi notthe1parrot,

Thanks for this. Sorry for the faff, but could we have a screenshot of ad along with the page that it's on? This really helps our ads team to pin down the exact problem.

KatherineMumsnet · 09/11/2016 17:25

Hi notthe1parrot,

Phew, thanks for letting us know. Do shout if you have any more problems at all.

KatherineMumsnet · 23/11/2016 14:42

Argh, how annoying! Sorry about this, we've flagged it to the ads team.

KatherineMumsnet · 23/11/2016 14:46

Right, so: They are working on getting rid, but all the ads they are seeing don't have any sound, so they are struggling to catch it. Could you send over a screenshot of the exact ad and the click landing page URL, please, so they can take a closer look?

Thanks Flowers
