Blow job pop up

Mooey89 · 07/10/2016 15:52

Picture of a woman giving a blow job with tag line 'your girlfriend will never know'

Was minding my own business reading a thread in chat!

I know this has been experienced by other users, any closer to a fix?

Could you also tell me how i've recieved a text message about a thread i'm reading when ypu don't have my phone number?????

Notverylucky · 21/10/2016 11:15

I've been having lots of issues with redirections to competition pages, etc, but only when on MN. Luckily, I haven't been redirected to any porn sites; but it's already put me off using MN and I've cut down my usage quite a bit. It's very annoying and I'm worried about accidently downloading a virus or some other malware. Really hope you can sort this issue out once and for all.

AngieMumsnet · 21/10/2016 11:15

Hi kali110
Those ads you are referring to are our native ads.

I am not sure what the text is, can you report that to - [email protected] with all the details, who the text was from and a screenshot of it if possible and we will look into it ASAP.

kali110 · 21/10/2016 14:44

I can only send a pic of a text on here as i'm on the mobile

kali110 · 21/10/2016 14:45

Hes i know they are native ads, however i see them everytime, not a few times!

kali110 · 21/10/2016 14:45

Here's the text

And phone number: +44 26 855

kali110 · 21/10/2016 15:03

Have sent an email with all info but have put on here as don't know if pic has sent. As you can imagine i am rather confused by this.

BertieBotts · 21/10/2016 15:10

Kali is it possible when copying the link you accidentally clicked "share" and shared it to yourself via SMS? That's a message sent by you, not received.

I haven't seen popups on MN recently but I have had them on a couple of other sites which use adchoices. I don't ever see them on sites without these ads. Always either a fake malware scan/fake update or a games site.

Like Mamushka my DH works in this field and is really concerned about me using MN because of it.

kali110 · 21/10/2016 15:13

No it's a text message i've recieved bertie

kali110 · 21/10/2016 15:15

It said that when i clicked on the link to open it ( which has worried me, especially when my msnet pw wouldn't work)
I had two ttexts this morning when i woke up, this and one other.

kali110 · 21/10/2016 15:21

But bertie if you know how to share via text would you mind pm me how so i could see if it's possible? If i've accidently done this i'll be happy as it's worrying me! ( have enough people texting me who i don't want without this Sad)

AngieMumsnet · 21/10/2016 16:10

kali110

Thanks for emailing in, someone will look into it ASAP.

BertieBotts · 21/10/2016 16:53

Sorry kali I don't know exactly because it's different on different phones. But normally when the speech bubble comes from the right side of the screen, that's what you've sent, not something sent to you. It's easy on some phones to click "share" by accident and one of the options will be SMS/messaging. It might have happened when you were copying and pasting the address to send to MNHQ.

kali110 · 21/10/2016 22:13

No i got the message first. Ive tried and tried and i still can't share it

kali110 · 21/10/2016 22:14

Which is obviously concerning Hmm

eatsleepfeedrepeat · 26/10/2016 10:10

Never had this before but have had three pop ups on the Christmas bargains thread this morning, had to stop reading it in the end as my ds is near me :-(

I'm on chrome, mobile site, with tesco mobile (but on talk talk WiFi) in East Anglia. Happened 3 times in last half hour. Auto pop ups while just reading thread.

SheWhoDaresGins2 · 26/10/2016 10:30

Not a blow job one but I did get a full view of a womans under carriage with a strategically place play button this morning. Hit post on a thread and must have hit the ad at the bottom and it redirected me to that. Not what I wanted to see while eating my weetabix!

I am on a Samsung 4, safari I think.

SheWhoDaresGins2 · 26/10/2016 10:38

Took a screen shot of my history. The problem must have occurred at the bottom. The history prior to that was Mumsnet chat still swearing like a bunch o navies. So all the links from the bottom to the top where it goes back to Mumsnet are where the problem came from.

SheWhoDaresGins2 · 26/10/2016 10:41

The last 7 things on that screen shot were nothing that I clicked on or chose to look at if that makes sense.

Toooldtobearsed · 26/10/2016 12:21

Just happened to me. Was reading a thread about racism and was instantly switched to a porn site. Had my grand daughter sat on my lap at the time, thankfully she is too young (10 months) to take any notice.

Hope this gets cleared up soon, i browse MN on the train and would be rather embarrassed if that popped up!

VivienneWestwoodsKnickers · 26/10/2016 12:38

Just happened to me too. Most concerning is that some of the indecent images are of young women who could be under age.

Android phone, Chrome browser, on a thread in Aibu.

Emailing now.

KatherineMumsnet · 26/10/2016 12:59

So sorry about this, everyone. Thanks very much for flagging. We've alerted tech, who will be looking at this urgently.

AgnesWaterhouse · 04/11/2016 12:41

Just been redirected to this porn site (don't click link unless you want to see explicit photo). I was in the process of doing an advanced search on the mobile site.
