Odd pop up and redirection

I just got this on android chrome. Just got a new phone which froze on the page so was a bit perturbed.

I got this, asking me about Virginmedia though (who are my broadband provider, not mobile phone provider) on my Android phone.

No option to close the pop up. I had to close down the whole mumsnet tab.

Yes its happening to me AGAIN. For god's sake! Two alternating pop ups and that bloody buzzing. Android.

Yeah, u had this before a few weeks ago, then it stopped. Now back again. Android phone, chrome browser.

Yes, me too! Android phone, Vodafone, mobile site. Really annoying. Different companies featured but all very dodgy.

I thought this was my phone! It's been happening to me intermittently for a month or so. Also Android phone.

Just happened now. Redirection to a message about Virgin media.

Still happening here too. It won't let me go off the page back to mumsnet either l have to close down whole tab and reload mumsnet, really irritating.

Me too, sky rewards one on my mobile. I have sky broadband.

Yup. Me too. Getting fed up with mumsnet as have to close the tab mid reading as no other way to close it.

Out of curiosity are these adverts really from Virgin/plusnet etc. Is it part of spam advertising or is it all fake?

Yep. Have had this on and off for a while. It's rubbish.

I have got these yesterday and today on my android mobile phone, and quoting my broadband provider (EE) (not my mobile provider).

I deleted all web data on my phone after that.
