Thank you Purpledaisy I'm back on the mobile site, thank you for your help!
I've cried today because my support plan has been cocked up for months meaning I am lacking vital support and the SW (who has been changed 3 times in one year) is talking in riddles rather than answering a simple question.
The constant battles, refusals, barriers - people generally have no Idea how a disability can affect every aspect of daily life, day in, day out. I'm actually sick of having to be bolshy and assertive to get the suppor the law says I should have. Im on the ninja thread and it's nice there, therefore... should we start a little thread to support each other and maybe enjoy it along the way?
The ninjas have a barn, the swearies have a cave, we could have our own dwelling as a safe place?

Actually I think I know why, it's so we don't get people posting about how awful life is with their disabled partner etc, because then it stops feeling safe.

Pretty much that.

I don't want to have to read about how hard it is for people to take care of the Toads of the world.

I actually originally asked for a SN Adults board as well way back when I asked for the Mumsnetters with SN.

And others agreed iirc.

I wouldn't call it campaigning Blush

I just started a thread and I kept bumping it until we got it Blush

BeyondASpecialSnowflake · 04/09/2016 09:36

There are two seperate boards though, aren't there? A parenting with disabilities board in parenting, and a mners with sn (that is ND centric but was set up to be general, wasn't it?) in sn?

I forget they are there. One way that changeable topic links at the bottom of the page would benefit me..... (Ante natal clubs are long past for me now!)
