App constantly refreshing

Say I'm on 'active' and click on a thread, read the thread for a bit and press back, the 'active page has refreshed.

Stay with me, it used to be that when you went back 'all the topics were the same until you manually refreshed 'active' yourself.

I feel like I don't want to click on a thread because when I go back to active I'm going to miss out on another interesting thread maybe below unless I temper what section it's from and the name. Does that make sense?

Hey guys! I've looked into the issue a bit further, the only situation I can find where it is automatically refreshing the active view is in this scenario:

  • If a user closes the app, switches to another app and back again, locks the screen then unlocks OR allows the screen to lock automatically and then unlocks, the active list will refresh, wherever you are in the app.

Can anyone confirm this is the only occasion it occurs? It should not auto-refresh when you stay in the app at all, so let me know if it happens otherwise!

I can see why it would be irritating, so here's a fix I'm proposing:

  • only automatically refresh the active view when the app is re-opened and it's been 30min+ since the last refresh.

Any thoughts?
