Links....... how do you do them??????

Have searched but can't find a thread about this, if there is one then I apologise for the duplication.

I am soooooo jealous of you lovely MNers that can post links. I haven't got a Scooby how to do it.

Please can someone post and show me how???

Flumpy, the instructions are below the smileys at the side of the message box.

Links To insert a link to a web site, type description - where url is the .... address of the site, and description is the text you want to appear in your message. So to link to bbc news you could type
have a look at this

I have tried too, flumpy nad can never get it right, even if i follow humphery's directions, it never turns out

type a backslash then the word link then a curly bracket { insert the email adress, so say in this case www.mumsnet.com then type another \ then whatever you want the link to say, so in this case 'mumsnet' then close it all off with a }

so typed out will look like \link{ www.mumsnet.com\mumsnet} (I had to put a space in before the www so you could see it written out)

ha I did it! thank you for the tutorial, and somewhere to try it out

I copied and pasted the insturctions thingy underneath teh emotions on th right and overtyped with my website details.
