Anyone else finding it hard to read?

OP posts:
NewYearNewToads · 16/03/2016 19:16

It's not very easy on the eye IMO.

It's also hard to read.

badg3r · 16/03/2016 19:31

I don't like the strike through.
At least the app is the same!!
Mumble mumble change grr mumble grr...

GoofyIsACow · 16/03/2016 19:32

I like it!

OddBoots · 16/03/2016 19:33

I can't read it without squinting at normal size but works at 100% or 125%

Narp · 16/03/2016 19:36

Yes, Ive embiggened it and it's OK

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 16/03/2016 19:37

I hate it. Too small and faint and I don't want to faff around making my screen bigger.

ghostspirit · 16/03/2016 19:44

its horrible.... put it back :(

OddBoots · 16/03/2016 19:52

I'm on Chrome but I imagine it is similarly easy to zoom on other browsers, just two clicks.

:-( I don;t like the new font
TheCrowFromBelow · 16/03/2016 19:57

CTRL+ at the same time will zoom in.

I'm in 2 minds. I like it, then I don't.

It's better in zoom but a bit... too large. Not large enough unzoomed. Possibly due to my eyes Grin

ShowOfHands · 16/03/2016 20:00

Mine is no different!

MyLittleFinger · 16/03/2016 20:10

Please change it back :(

merlottime · 16/03/2016 20:30

Awful. Too small. Giving me a migraine.

Liara · 16/03/2016 20:32

Giving me a headache too, although I agree the site looks nicer with it. Just not when you are actually using it...Hmm

Sallyingforth · 16/03/2016 20:48

Sorry but I don't like the font. It looks too faint, particularly the subject titles that are in blue. Much preferred the old font.

goddessofsmallthings · 16/03/2016 20:53

I don't like it. It's not easy on the eye and it's so faint that I'm having to bend towards the screen in order to be able to read it.

Why have mumsnet made this change when it must be obvious that having to zoom in to read what's written on this particular site will cause irritation when having to zoom out in order to browse others?

I also seem to have accumulated a collection of icons? on the far left handside of the page that I can't get rid of.

This a change too far and I can only beseech The Towers to rethink and reinstate the old font or, at the very least, enlarge and darken this one.

theshyretirer · 16/03/2016 20:57

I'm finding it hard to read too although it seems a nicer design. It seems quite faint and the crowded text seems to move around. I'm squinting reading it....no bad thing if it gets me off here though, I waste too much time!

brighthouse · 16/03/2016 20:58

It's too faint. Please change it back.

lordStrange · 16/03/2016 21:11

The design is better. The font is awful.

NattyGolfJerkin · 16/03/2016 21:13

I find it difficult to read on iPad (desktop site). Too small & fine.

DarrenHardysDrongo · 16/03/2016 21:30

It's much harder for me to read. I checked on my tablet earlier and it's ok to read on there, but for me 99% of my MN time is when I'm using a laptop.

So I won't be here as often, because it's hurting my eyes to try to read it. I've only spent about 15 minutes on the site today, usually it's much more time than that. Blush

Well hey ho, I do have more productive things to be getting on with!

DadOnIce · 16/03/2016 21:33

Mumsnet christens new font.

:-( I don;t like the new font
Rosa · 16/03/2016 21:34

The blue needs to be darker ... Commented earlier from the Pc as it was just too pale . Now on I pad and its all just too faint . When you oprn a thread its clearer but on the active convos page its just too pale.... And I have my glasses on!!!! Sorry needs to be darker or in Bold or something,

lemonymelanie · 16/03/2016 21:50

Is it Roboto Thin, rather than Roboto as I read somewhere on the site. That could be the basic problem.

Yes, it hurts my eyes too.
