Has anyone else noticed the one-liner trolls?

There's one on the nudist beach thread now and I've noticed them on several threads I've read in the last few days.

I think I remember one on the (since deleted) thread about different ways to assault Peter Connelly's mother and also on the super-glue on the toilet seat thread.

I'm going to have to retrace my steps to find them, I think.

What's it all in aid of?

There was a flat out "chav-bait" troll who was doing that recently R0nJ0n. I reported when it became obvious and I think it was deleted.

So you're a troll if you don't agree to stay on the thread until the bitter end?

Alisvolatpropiis · 06/01/2016 17:25

I sometimes post very short responses. Especially in AIBU when the poster is being unreasonable to the point I don't understand how they can't see that and consider further reasoning with them futile.

And sometimes in baby names when there's only one a list I like, because "x is horrendous, are you joking" is never received well.

I don't think the weird nudist is related to any other phenomenon on this thread though - I think it was a one-off spammer who happened to have its "nudism mention" alarm triggered.

It's not about short posts or posting once and never posting again. I do both of those sometimes. It's a short, rude and unexplained dig. It never adds to the debate either. More like throwing a grenade and running.

Thanks, I'm not a troll but I do,tend to,give my frank opinion when asked for it and then leave it at that.
