Why is Mumsnet promoting private medical care?

Latest email has a major endorsement for a 24hr doctor service, that's not only subscription based but involves a £50 charge per consultation.

I can't help feeling this is inappropriate but I'm not sure why. Basically I think it's that I disagree with the private health care system in general as it disadvantages the poor by creating a two tier system.

I also note that some of the pages advertised in the same newsletter (regarding getting babies to sleep etc) do not yet exist.

So I am having a grump.

Hi Anastasie,

Apologies for the broken links and many thanks for bringing them to our attention, we have fixed them now.

As with all things on Mumsnet, we know that not everything will be right for everyone, we try our best to tailor our newsletters to suit and apologies if we got this wrong for you this time. We will pass your comments over to the ad team.

Thanks for your feedback.
