I know that I saw a link to a huge list of abbreviations used in the discussions but can't find it now.
Could anyone point me in the right direction?

Pes - Sorry. I tried to help you by investigaing the search facility and I ended up at a 'site stuff' list and then I got well and truly lost! Someone will give you a link soon, I'm sure. Can I help with any particular queries?

Pes · 14/05/2004 10:17

Hi tiamaria - thanks for responding - I had the same problem when searching (but then I'm not very techie at the best of times)
Am discussion boards virgin but I've worked out some of the abbreviations , still having problems with others, and feeling a bit dumb as a result ...
Off the top of my head, there's BTW, ROFL, PMSL...

OP posts:
spacemonkey · 14/05/2004 10:25

BTW = by the way
ROFL = roll on floor laughing
PMSL = p*ss myself laughing
LOL = laugh out loud
DH = darling husband
DD = darling daughter (DS darling son etc etc)
AF = Auntie Flo (as in period)
TTC = trying to conceive

any more for any more?

spacemonkey · 14/05/2004 10:26

Janh · 14/05/2004 10:28

Pes, those are:

You will also see pork sometimes which is what a mobile phone with predictive texting thinks you mean when you put pmsl.

spacemonkey · 14/05/2004 10:40

FFS = for f*'s sake

tiamaria · 14/05/2004 12:41

sm, janh - thanks for those. I didn't know half of them as I'm still a new mner. Sorry that I disappeared. Had to get some ironing done. Did get lots done, though!

Pes - You and I are learning together!

Pes · 14/05/2004 13:39
