I can't seem to access MN on my android (HTC) phone. Was fine earlier today but haven't been able to access it from about 6.30pm. It's fine on an iPad. Obviously mobile site I'm trying to get. Anyone else? Please don't make me watch more of the Bake Off - it's hell on earth for me :)

So even after the whole site was down and come back, I still can't access MN using IE on my phone. It's a PITA opening chrome up just for one site. Grrr

BankWadger · 22/09/2015 21:01

Oh an improvement. I can now load Mumsnet and navigate around a little. As soon as I hit talj or try to load a talk page the window freezes and needs to be shut down.

So still effectively not working as I want the talk section, but more than I could do.

KidnappedByPenguins · 23/09/2015 21:00

Having same problems as Bank

AyeAmarok · 23/09/2015 21:06

Still not working on my ipad or Windows phone....

SnozzberryPie · 23/09/2015 22:37

Glad this isn't just me - I haven't been able to get on mn with my phone (windows) for a few days. It works fine on my (android) tablet.

SnozzberryPie · 23/09/2015 22:41

As others have said the site makes my browser crash, I have to close the window and start again to get onto another website.

TheOddity · 24/09/2015 09:07

I'm having loads of problems on my galaxy ace II phone. No problems with other sites, on my iPad it is fairly slow and clunky (nothing new there), but when I access mumsnet on my phone, it crashes after the first page. Fine from the Google search page to mumsnet, after that, it just hangs trying to load the next thing. It keeps overloading the ram and the only way I can stop it is exiting via task manager and clearing the ram memory! Then same happens again, first page from google fine, no luck after that.

Not working on my windows (Nokia Lumea). I have Active pinned to my home screen, can open it up, but can't open any threads. Been a couple of weeks for me though.

Boredofthinkingofnewnames · 25/09/2015 11:15

Still not working on my phone, now if I go to the site at all it crashes my browser completley.

CorporeSarnie · 25/09/2015 11:47

Also having problems with a Nokia Lumia running IE, pages very very slow to load. The page (e.g. active convos) comes up, none of the links will work for a minute or two. To me it seems like the adverts are causing the problems, as the bar at the top of the page is blank for ages, then once it has loaded the page works again. Once I click on a link it again takes forever to load. Has made my browsing habits a little more diverse, I have been reading the news and other websites during night feeds instead. This has been playing up for about a week or so, since before the database issue.

BeccaMumsnet · 25/09/2015 17:25

Hi everyone - could you all clear your cache on your mobile browser and see if this helps at all? There's info on how to clear your cache on different browsers (including for mobile devices) here.

SurlyCue · 25/09/2015 19:44

just done that and still no joy here becca same thing happening. the page is half loading then shutting down the browser completely.

SurlyCue · 25/09/2015 19:48

Oh, just tried again and it worked!! Wahey!

DawnMumsnet · 25/09/2015 21:22

@SurlyCue

Oh, just tried again and it worked!! Wahey!

Yay! Glad to hear it. Smile

SurlyCue · 25/09/2015 22:33

Yes we're cooking with calor again! Many thanks to Hq and tech.

BankWadger · 26/09/2015 00:54

I ckeared my cache last week (as mentioned up thread), buggered up all my passwords and pages and it didn't work. Just getting them all back now. If it doesn't work There will be red faces all over the page.

BankWadger · 26/09/2015 00:57

It hasn't worked AngryAngryAngry

SnozzberryPie · 26/09/2015 09:56

It worked for me, thanks. Unfortunately it's logged me out and I don't know my password so I will have to sort that before I can post from my phone!

AyeAmarok · 26/09/2015 10:00

Hasn't worked.

DawnMumsnet · 26/09/2015 11:11

So sorry, BankWadger, Sad

We're trying to pinpoint what's going wrong and why - for some people the clear cache option has sorted things, but for others (like you, unfortunately) it's not made a jot of difference.

Our Tech team are trying their very best to solve this issue. All we can do in the meantime is apologise. We know how annoying this is, and we're very sorry.

caker · 27/09/2015 09:34

I cleared the cache yesterday (I use Opera Mini) and I still couldn't access MN, so was cross as all my bookmarks, saved pages and passwords disappeared for nothing. But it works this morning somehow, hurrah! Thanks.

elpth · 27/09/2015 15:27

Posted on another thread but will put again here as I'm missing MN terribly!
Same problem here Sad
Iphone 4S safari keeps crashing and I've had an enforced MN break for ten days ShockSame on the iPad.
I tried clearing the cache and running updates but that made no difference. I can get onto the MN homepage but any page related to talk won't even load then crashes the browser. It doesn't matter whether it's following a link from google or directly refreshing a page I was on before this happened or following a link from the MN homepage. The bit visible on screen loads and then it gets stuck and freezes. Only way out is to force close safari. Oddly it doesn't happen on gransnet which I understand is the same tech team? I went there looking for help as I couldn't get on here at all!
Please help! I only managed to post this because I found the app but I really like the mobile site on safari.

AyeAmarok · 28/09/2015 00:03
