Hi Earlybird - sorry you've been having trouble. Would you let us know whether you receive the newsletter this time? It should be sent out around Fri afternoon.

Thanks

SlightlyMadSanta · 07/12/2006 14:25

I don't get MPs round-up either . I have just resubscribed. How often should it be?

Earlybird · 07/12/2006 14:40

Thanks Carrie - will let you know.

Earlybird · 08/12/2006 16:46

Carrie - just to let you know that I have not yet received the roundup email. It is not in my spam folder either.

Could the problem be that AOL is my ISP? I know sometimes people have trouble with AOL...Thanks.

NotQuiteCockney · 08/12/2006 16:50

I got one today, but it was the same one as a week ago, I think. A thread about Pistmas, etc.

SlightlyMadSanta · 09/12/2006 11:57

I'm on AOL too (and have checked Spam folder) - is that a problem?

Carmenere · 09/12/2006 12:44

I have not got it either even though I signed up again to be sure. But my email is AOL so maybe there is a problem with them, I do get the newsletter though!

carriemumsnet · 09/12/2006 21:48

This is most annoying and baffling - particularly to a non tech person such as myself!

I will ask the tech bods to look into it first thing on Monday and see what they can come up with. In the meantime if anyone who hasn't had this week's copy wants to email [email protected] I'll be happy to send a copy out to you.

Apologies again and thanks for letting us know

FrostyTheSnowMarsLady · 09/12/2006 21:49

Sob! I'm on aol and don't get it either.

LIZS · 09/12/2006 22:00

I'm on aol too.

BahHunkBug · 09/12/2006 22:01

I get it.

It's very good.

SlightlyMadSanta · 09/12/2006 22:14

Seeing as this seems to be an AOL thread can I take offer a tip to those that want to get rid of the scenic ad.

At the bottom of the window, 2nd box from the right (next to teh vault) is the pop up blocker. Select 'Block animated media from MN' and problem solved.

threelittlegifts · 09/12/2006 22:34

Ahhh- that's why I don't get it- aol!

Could some very kind person send it to me please? As my friend is mentioned in it

stacey 4 mike at aol dot com

Earlybird · 09/12/2006 22:44

Seems as if I might be onto something with my AOL theory, as most of us who are complaining of missing updates seem to have AOL as our ISP.

JustineMumsnet · 11/12/2006 09:57

Sorry for all these problems - sounds like it might well be AOL-related. Until we sort, you can always view the most recent round up here .
They are updated every friday lunchtime, though I suspect MP will be wanting a week or two off over the festive period (slacker ).

Miaou · 11/12/2006 10:04

pmsl Justine!!!

JJMumsnet · 11/12/2006 11:13

Hiya, for AOL users, it might depend on the settings of your "AOL mail controls". If you update these to allow email from [email protected], you should receive the next one.

Here's the unofficial AOL Email FAQ

Hope all who want it receive the next one!

BahHunkBug · 11/12/2006 11:16

What an amazing coincidence you have someone called "mumsnet" working at MN HQ - but I suppose you'd not have employed someone called babyworld, would you? [email protected]... [flippant]

MerryMellowmas · 11/12/2006 11:18

I cannot for thr life of me, find the place to re-sign up for this, pleasee can someone help me. tia

Not AOL btw. Have checked bulk etc

JustineMumsnet · 11/12/2006 17:09

Hi MerryMellowmas, sorry for the delay in answering. The sign up link is here .
Best,
MNHQ

anorak · 12/12/2006 09:24

I'm aol as well. Just added mumsnet to my address book, will I have to re-sign up for the round-up now? I don't want to receive it twice.

ShinyHappyStarOfBethlehem · 12/12/2006 09:25

I only got the first Talk round up; that was weeks ago.. I have not had any since. They are weekly aren't they?

SlightlyMadSanta · 12/12/2006 13:50

I have always received the bog standard (no offence to MN staff) news roundup and developmental reviews which are from [email protected]. It is only MPs Talk roundup I don't receive.

carriemumsnet · 12/12/2006 14:56

We can only apologise to those who are still not getting MP's mail - here's the link again where you can see last week's mail out.

Do keep mailing MNHQ if you've signed up and it still doesn't materialise and we'll make sure the techs see this thread again.

Apologies again

Tech · 13/12/2006 02:33

Morning all,

Sorry this has been a pain for some. We've changed the way the talk roundup subscriptions work so that they are the same as our other newsletters. To check whether you are on the list, go to the member registration page and check the "email preferences" section. It should look something like this:

I haven't subscribed to the roundup. To do so, I can click the "Subscribe" button. Once, I do, the "No" changes to "Yes" and the button says "Stop". You can opt in and out of all these mails as and when you wish.

If you are subscribed, but haven't had the mail, the other thing to check is the top of the form under your registered email address. If you see a red error message like this

then it means we've had an automated message back from your email provider saying that the address doesn't exist. If you are sure it is right, just click "Save changes" to save your details again, and the error message should go away. When that happens we'll retry sending next time.

If you subscribed before, but the system doesn't think you did for some reason, please just click the "subscribe" button again to ensure you get this week's talk roundup.

Thanks,
Tech
